Funniest thing

Post by Sunbeam56 » Mon Sep 01, 2014 6:03 pm

...that i overheard.
Was observing the Souk in the shadow of the man on Wednesday. A BLM officer approached a Man Watch volunteer, and said: I got a report of someone acting crazy at the man. They should have been more specific.

This guy gave us a few free shrugs on burn night. Thanks, sir.

Kowtow walking into camp wearing only leopard speedos and a feline fur coat. Sits down for an hour and tries to remember where he put his camera. Finally he stand up, scratches his junk.... and yells "Hey! I just found my camera!"

No, I dont want to know how it got there or what pictures it took while hugging Mr Happy and the Boys!

The "Lost Dog" poster with the cute photo and the "...last seen tied to the Man..." that I saw taped to a Porto on Sunday Morning.

That and the homeless guy pushing a shopping cart down E looking for discarded cans and bottles.

We laughed but I felt really nerdy

Funniest thing, Drunk or rolling or tripping man walking up and down 4:00 pushing a modified baby stroller that had a blower on it pointed down, therefore creating massive dust clouds on the serene dustless days. He said the dust on his glasses made dragons come out of the air and fly at him, and that his blower was a scientific experiment to see how fast he could get his ass kicked.

bdc had a 10 foot set back from the road all around the village this year. Freaking brilliant. Allowed room for all kinds of shenanigans without being in the middle of the road. Several DWD'ers would setup our chairs in the evening and watch the parade down 6:30. Figment had an old tv we put on a box and we added the foil antennae. We would holler at people to stop and change our channel. We lost the remote.

Most of the funniest stuff was You had to be there stuff.

Overheard on Esplanade preopening "no, we need six feet for the walk of shame and three for Wow this feels good"

The Temple has collapsed and the fire line dropped. The ravers have split and the freaks are gathered around the fire, an inner ring starting to circle, clothes are dropping... I sip a cold beer. A normal looking, street legal gentleman looks at my cold beer and asks if there's an extra for him. I have a cooler full. He sips a beer nervously and says, "I'm here for the first time with my 16 year old daughter, she's been a few times before. I'm trying to keep an eye on her but I just lost her..." And he walks off into the swirling crowd.

Yup, it was Laura's. She and Lex wouldn't even touch it after he tried to return it. I wonder why?

POOPARAZZI! Holy S. Laughed my ass off. From what I hear, Barbi Death Village folks (and doc pyro in particular) were the ones responsible. Basically, a group stand by the port-o's looking innocent and as soon as someone steps in, they unroll a red carpet, hoist a velvet rope and gather a crowd to cheer and applaud when the person reemerges after taking care of business. Absolutely hysterical.

I missed the setup, so when you came out and Doc asked for your name and where you were camped, I though he was having a stroke.

we bumped into some girl in the middle of the playa who obviously needed some directions help. we pointed her in the right direction and then she asked:
can you help me find my friend in the big coat?

we named her Big Coat.

I saw this video before I went to the papaya, and ever time I went to take a poo, I was paranoid. Nothing like a group of strangers knowing what your doing. Plus I get constipated out there

We had a white board on an easel set up outside our camp. At one point I wrote " make a Dolphin noise". It was pretty funny and a lot of people really tried. After campmates went to bed, they could hear people in the road making dolphin noises...

I also had a white board that I would write things on and lift up as people got closer. "Scream like a girl" was a good one but I liked "Blow Me". The BLM guys thought that one was funny too
