A huge shout out to TT120!
I'll post a picture of us mixing drinks in tutus.
Bill, your always-helpful, fun, good humored spirit got my first burn started off on exactly the right note. It was great to hang and camp with you this year.
(also, getting gifted a bottle of scotch is a surefire ticket to the top of my swag list)
Next burn, try not to spend so much time sleeping it off.

I'll pour a wee dram for any that want it this early.
Collapse first and avoid the rush

Was the Bay Area all mellow and dreamy without "all the burners"?

My Bay Area FB peeps seemed at odds on the phenomenon. :)

:coffee: morning everyone!

Sitting in my backyard with a cup of joe watching hot air balloons float by above my head...

No, I'm not high :D the great reno balloon race takes place this weekend and my little abode is right in its path. I can hear the balloonists conversations as they float by....

Lovely moments

Well, this warm, fuzzy feeling will be with me for a Lonnnnnggggg Time! I can usually make it last the whole year 'til the next burn. Should be easy... I saw almost everyone I'd hoped to see! Can't stop smiling! (not that I'm trying to!)

The car is still about half-unpacked, the kitchen piling up with dusty stuff, awaiting the necessary dusting-off before venturing farther into the house. My little silver car is still light grey, inside and out.

I'm glad you made it home OK and in one piece.

I'm STILL traveling homewards. I took a stressed burner to Reno to help them get over a bad case of the shakes on Monday, and stayed with them until Wednesday's flight. Then, Reno to Winnemucca Wednesday, Winnemucca to Evanston, WY Thursday, and Friday took me from Evanston, WY to Grand Island, Nebraska.

This burn was phenomenal for me, thanks to you and a very few selected others who shall remain nameless.

The Nebraska state police pulled me over tonight on the way to the hotel. No citation, just a warning of a headlight out. What a relief! I thanked the trooper, and we got into a great conversation about history and he suggested I take a look at old Fort Kearny tomorrow. I'm taking his advice, since the place looks really interesting.

I can't wait to hear from all of you again, either in PM or openly.

This burn was the best ever .

I stayed until Tuesday afternoon and that gave me a glimpse of playa deserted
it still carried the resounding of our tune.

I had thought my light headed feeling was from love
but it seems that I do have strep.

Hey Rhino, good seeing you and getting to talk a bit. Sounds like you are getting close to being back home safely. Sorry your ill, ASD. Quick recovery for you. Just got the car all emptied and today it is off to the car wash. Very little dust inside for a change. Have a tennis game this morning and bring my pics in an album to share with my tennis buddies. Taken me a week to feel rested once again. It all seems like a very good dream. 365 days till the Man burns. Miss you guys

Good morning Bar. Hi Marty! You are ahead of me on the car issue, and back to real life weekend activities. Aserendipity, get better quick. I'm doing the load up again after a week of work and the dusties filling the garage. Heading over to my sister's house to hose off the gear in the backyard. Just sat around after work all week, thinking hard, hard, about what I want to do to have better results. TTITD is a catalyst, and I don't want to let it fizzle down without utilizing the momentum. I was close to giving notice at work this week, had a case of fuckitol in my pack. I need to have a little more of a plan in place. 8)

My feet hurt. Makes me irritable. And I went to ComicCon on Thursday, on a free pass I won, and they screwed up the entry lines. Four hours to get in and it only ran from 2 until 8 PM. Idiotic. And they would not allow "outside" food in, so no water bottles. Idiotic. I could see how it all would be interesting, but mostly I kept yearning for BRC and burners. I did get my picture taken a lot, Mrs. Santa is sweet and enchanting. Had I wore a burner outfit, I would have been telling folks to fuck this day.

Hey all, finally decompressed enough to wander back in here. Been home since Tuesday night but needed a few days to process everything, you know how that goes. Best burn yet though!

Sorry I didn't get to meet more of you, I was a late arrival to the M&G and most people left shortly after I showed up. Next year, perhaps.

Morning, kiddies. Got the car washed yesterday and that made it look like new once again. Also got my photos in an album and shared them with some of my tennis buds as well. Lots of oohs and ahs. It all seems like a dream, and a very fine dream indeed. As we were driving out, I knew for sure that I'd be back next year. I find it hard to imagine life without Burning Man. It is really something so indefinably special in so many ways. Well, more clean up of stuff today. Watched a couple of major upsets as the #1 and #2 men seeds at the US Tennis Open in NY both lost and will not be in the final. Serena plays for the title on the women's side today and is likely to win. She's amazing

Well, ((((((((((((((all)))))))))))))) I miss you guys

marty, it was good seeing you as well. And, as of last night at 1:30 a.m, I walked in my own front door, safely.

My mind is abuzz processing this year's burn.

What did I learn about myself on this year's "quest"? That remains to be thought about as I walk through the park this week.

On another note: I DID, in keeping with traditions of years past, go to at least one museum during the trip. Folks, I highly recommend the California Trails Museum in Elko.

And Elliott:

"Why isn't everyone bubbling over with joy and enthusiasm? Oh, wait... I kno... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

So very, very, true.

Thanks, sunbeam. It's just pretty rough around here right now. TODAY, I have to go grocery shopping, get a haircut, do laundry, make the week's lunches, unload and clean the truck, and make things ready for the arrival of my four-legged lady friend tomorrow when I pick her up from the vet. She's been 'camping' the last three weeks. I'm not worried about her, because she always loves it. It's hard to pry her away from the vet until she knows she gets the rabies shot the last day.
