Any word on the status of the portos this year? It was my first time carrying zipties & was able to zip two.

By my camp (2:37 Haifa) it wasn't that bad. Other parts of town didn't seem to fair that well. Tallcans in the potty? Doors ripped off the hinges?

Please tell me our potty saviors didn't have too many headaches!

I fucking love you guys! Thank you VC for making a thread for this very important article. It was utterly random getting to be interviewed by Nitasha. The shitters were overall in good shape, even after losing 3 days pre event, then mudpocolyps, and other insanities. If someone could post the BMIR interview link I'd love to hear it (I love listening to myself anyway).
The bottom line of my job is to make sure USS is convinced that WE are making a serious effort to reduce the garbage in the portos, including wipes. We fucking rocked the house because of CO, and a huge cadre of volunteers this year. I am so humbled and awed by how much attention I have received both on and off playa. I'm on fucking fire with how wonderful life is going to be in the months to come. Fucking floored!

I have been busy as all get out since getting back on line. I only just got back to this padded toilet seat of social networking, and saw this thread. Wow! I fucking love you all!

RobbiDobbs.. I am not sure how to specifically locate a link to your BMIR interview. I can offer this however. As I recall it aired sometime midweek, during the day. (I could be wrong though because the week blurred together, even from Camp Envy) If it aired LIVE then you likely have a better idea of the exact time than I do. I suggest you go to Ustream Burningman ( google that) and look for the VIDEOS tab, go there and scroll down through all of the separate videos until you find the date/time that correlates to your interview. They may have had BMIR audio being recorded with the camera feed.

I'll be glad to. It will be the first of the week though before I'm in front of a good machine again. This machine I'm using is melting down and can't handle the load at the moment. Perhaps someone else might zero in on it before then.

Robbi, I looked through the ustream feeds in and around Monday, Aug 25 at 11:00am and couldn't find the interview. Actually, there was no video feed at that specific time, probably due to the rain and lightning. The video before and after have partial audio recording from BMIR, but of course no interview at those times. I'll keep it in mind as time goes on, but this was my best shot at it.

I don' t know if BMIR archives their stuff, but rest assured Robbi, your interview went well, you were very clear and approachable, and again provided good and important info for all who heard it.

Sorry I couldn't find it.
