There's still a lot of dusty stuff to be dealt with in American Boyfriend's living room which I feel bad about.

Well it's been fun but it's time to head back to Sydney. My bags are all packed and we're about to head to the airport.

Hey I'm thinking of going in 2015. I'm taking it that you recommend it? I can't remember who told me about it. Maybe it was you.
Don't believe everything you think.

Was feeling really down today...then I figured this time last month I was on the Playa.
The tent has been washed and is drying and waiting to eventually be packed. Looking forward to Seacompression this weekend.

Reached step 3 - scored tickets to PDF next weekend so had to unpack my playa branding iron, coat, lights, and other warm playa stuff.
Still wearing the tail at work and still no one has said a word.

Forgot it was there and wore it all day at work - and nobody at work said anything to me about wearing a 30 inch purple fur tail!

Will have to unpack eventually though.

Seacompression was a blast, it gave me a taste of home with a chance to reconnect with friends.

Re: Getting your shit back together: progress reports
My Burning Man stuff lives almost entirely in transition from year to year. The cycle is as such: Go to the Burn, come back to apartment, leave shit in a gigantic pile in the corner near the closet for a month, pull out what I need for decompression, put it back after decompression, finally get around to cleaning everything in the summer, pack it away for a month or two in a garage one hour north of me, and then re-unpack it in August and bring it to the desert.
This year, I decided to get on everything and do the full clean and pack in September. So, finally, first weekend of October, I finished everything: total deep cleaning of all my gear, organizing and packed away in the garage in an organized fasion, and I drank in the satisfaction of having everything done early. I wouldn't need to worry until next August, at the minimum, right?
Anyway, Decompression is in a few weeks and I totally forgot that I need all of that gear still... and it's going to get dirty again, with stuff that is NOT from the Playa, so I'll need to do a full cleaning again in order to not bring grass and pine leaves to the Playa... I need to rethink my order of operations for next year.
