Happy Birthday UJH! Mine is coming up too on Sunday. This one is one of those "milestone" ones apparently. Honestly, being a burner makes me at least 20 years younger than I used to be.

marty,

good luck to your Giants.

However, in MY neck of the woods, we know the Cards will give it their best. Another World Series title is the goal, and the Giants stand in the way.

Afternoon bar! I ran 20 miles this morning. Somebody pass me a beer...

I have no loyalties in the MLB playoffs because, well, I'm a Rockies fan, and if this season is any indication we'll never get there again. I guess I'm sort of rooting for the Giants simply because I have a lot of friends in the Bay area who are big fans.

You're the nomad! You're the lone wolf: resourceful, independent, strong, and wild. You've learned from the ups and downs of life and you're on a lone journey to figure it all out. You can never settle down in one place for long, always looking for the next adventure or new experience. Your wanderlust is insatiable and Burning man is just another stop on your long list of travels! You're always on the outlook for new people and your tent to open to everyone! But the connections are temporary, because you're tent will be packed up and off to your next festival, retreat, town, ashram, city, commune, university, etc. by Labor Day!
I think I got Elorrum's...

Tried it again, and got "The Artist", which was illustrated with this picture:

My verdict? This sucks. Of course, they didn't have any option of "Aaaaaaaah! I don't want to visit any of those tents!" so that may have been a given.

Good morning!

(*barges into The Bar at O'Dark:30, appearing disgustingly awake and happy*)

Visited San Francisco yesterday, giving a tour for my brother's girlfriend (while R.C. himself had stuff to do here in Clearlake). She has never been to California before, so the S.F. tour was "mandatory". Walked across the Golden Gate Bridge, rode a Cable Car, received a parking ticket, rode a pedi-cab, etc.

On the way down, visited Armstrong Woods in Guerneville, which she loved.

She is continually amazed by our "mountains" -- the little rolling hills around here. She is from Estonia, which she tells me is flat as a pancake.

Amusing element about our choice of day to visit the City -- is was not only during Fleet Week, but on the day of the Blue Angels air show. Complete utter and total traffic grid-lock. But we managed, and even got to see a good bit of the air show.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled quiet Sunday morning, in progress.

(I would have liked to do this tour today, and include a couple hours at Decompression, but they need to leave for Indiana today.)
