Escaping St. Louis, MO!!!

Post by stcharles_stl » Mon Oct 20, 2014 5:42 pm

Hello all! My husband and I are hoping to attend BM 2015. After dealing with all the BS in STL, we are looking forward to everything the Playa has to offer.

Welcome.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

It turns out that there is still bs on the playa. A word of warning...

Yo, Thecatman. He's correct. Nothing happens in Moberly. It's 25 miles and 20 minutes north of Columbia, where I live. It wouldn't be Sheridan, would it?

Indeed! Well, lemme introduce myself. I'm Rhino, of Black Rock Beacon camp and a fellow Missourian. Silas is right....there are burners in your area, the Gateway Burners, who sponsor a June Burn (called "Gateway"). They really are an artsy crowd too. One year, you had to take your ticket confirmation number and turn it into an art project to get in.

I did mine musically......

"Greeter, you need my number, so you can let me inside.....
Let me sing you this number_________

And they liked it so they let me in. They also sponsor Santanarchy and hold it either in St.Louis or Columbia.

There's also the Kansas City-Lawrence crowd, called Midwest Burners. They sponsor an event (regional burn) called Interfuse the first weekend in May.

For a trip to the playa, contact the Gateway Burners or send me a note if you need help. To get in the spirit, attend Interfuse and/or Gateway.

See you in the dust!
