What did you learn this year?
Re: What did you learn this year?
Haven't had a blister in years, but if I get one, I use a needle to lance a small hole at the edge of the blister to drain it, then do the tape trick!

Re: What did you learn this year?
That people are really fucking awesome but sometimes it just takes a moment or two to realize that.
That ... and, if you really need something, no matter how embarrassing or personal in nature that something may be, don't be afraid to ask someone. (Long slippery story short - we had an unfortunate bit of spillage on the camper floor that turned it into an adult-fun-house-slip-and-slide for a little while
but that also meant the end of our coconut oil
The next day we set out all the while discussing how to rectify the situation. Ultimately, after dark, we had both managed the courage to ask if anyone had any extra "lube". To our delight, the very first camp we asked came to the rescue. AND they even offered us a cold beer!!!

I'm fucked. I've caught the dusty virus ... and I want to spread it around.

Re: What did you learn this year?
here was one:
for structural integrity, guy everything on your shade out immediately.
i was setting up late at night so only guyed things out enough to not blow away. when i added more guy lines later, things were a little akimbo and hard to get all even. for some reason, that really bothered me the rest of the week.
oh, and i just learned:
some eplayans apparently don't know about the stomach pain free joy of tea, lol

Re: What did you learn this year?
first went to the city that comes with this forum in 2013 and something seemed strangly familer. Finally thought of why it did , I remember a disney movie called pinochio . He went to a island and could eat and drink all he wanted and there was fun everywhere , but you were turned into a ass and had to work the salt mines. Very similar ")

Tesla Coils are non-trivial.
It's fun to get high.
Zip-Lines are fun.
It pays to Moop
Working a few shifts on-Playa is amazing and leads to a much deeper feeling of community. Plus you meet awesome people.
Don't polish the cannonball. If you made something, bring it to the Playa! It doesn't have to be perfect.
People with a sense of entitlement and who rely on others for their on-Playa needs are not necessarily appropriate for your camp.
Never put someone in charge of a task that they aren't physically wrenching on.
This is a do-ocracy. People taking potshots from the sidelines can go pound sand.

It's probably not good for condoms, but if that's not a concern, play on.strange love wrote:I just learned you can use coconut oil for lube. Good to know

Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.

Smoked paprika is really good in Bloody Marys. And...If you just spent a summer in Las Vegas, BRC is Paradise!
anything worth doing is worth overdoing..
Re: What did you learn this year?
Baby oil is not so good in Bloody Marys
...and paprika is even worse as lube

Re: What did you learn this year?
