Inner Playa, Outer Playa, Deep Playa, Open Playa...

I've heard these words and have a basic understanding of what area of BRC they refer to, but I'd like some clarification.

(I know this seems like the wrong forum to post this in, but I couldn't find one more appropriate)

Here are a couple of my best guesses. Does one seem right? And if so, where is the Open Playa?

There was an explanation of these terms in the art placement questionnaire but the info didn't stick in my brain and once the application process closed I couldn't get to it again. I'm interested to hear exactly what the definitions are too. Thanks for posting this question.

Hummm. Not that it matters but where's the airport? I don't consider the walk-in camping area and airport as outer playa. I think of them as part of the burbs. People live there.

it's all relative. and subjective. Stand by for varying answers.
to me, you can barely make out the people from "deep playa", but I spend some fair time outside the fence.

Your first map seems about right to me.
"Open Playa" might be "Outer" and "Deep" together?
It's like all other language. A few years ago everyone called the porta-potties "JOTS", for Johnny On The Spot. Now, few people even recognize the term.

In the first example the inner playa is correct (according to my understanding), from there on out it's pretty much deep playa...terms may vary. If I'm wrong, I reserve that right

Deep, Outer, and Open are all pretty much synonyms.

Ratty, airport is straight out five. You go by walk in camping, and the potty pumper camp. There's a bit of shade and some art out that way, but not much. The way people camp next to their planes is intriguing, and watching the virgins ring the bell is amusing. The potties were full to the top, ick.

Hmmmmm.... The main United Site Services camp is more like off 7:00 Street, near the Law Enforcement Command Center. You may be thinking of DPW, which is near the airport, off 5:30 Street.

In my head, your first map has Inner Playa correct, but Outer & Deep should be combined into just one like Elliot said (people I know usually just call it Deep Playa, but both terms are legit).
