*stranger heads out the door... but he catches Lydia's eye... they look at each other for a second. He pauses.... he then walks over to her... gently puts his hand under her chin and tilts her head back... he bends down and gently kisses her goodnight..... she gently rises up and knees him in the nuts...... he slowly, and carefully, stumbles out the door... breathing deeply and whimpering.....*

You know who has the last camera Sensei? Ben D the Portland Regional Rep. I introduced you after a few drinks and I relenquished the camera to you and you in turn passed it to him after you received the gift of a bindee.

No problem, Sandwichman. Got plenty of good one; just need time to duplicate 'em.

I'm out for a bit. I'll be back.

Just a sec

Most of my solo work is best described as silly blips and beeps with light dancing harmonies. I of course add a generous helping of thump and then work the percussion to no end. Lots of congas tuned and a low kick at about 80hz sinking to about 35hz. That is the best I can do to describe the tunes I create. As for my live project we make an ethnic meets electronic kind of sound. I use a more layered synth sound to harmonize with the didgeridoo and play both a high and low part to add to the spaciness. The drummer is good and adds bits of congas to a slow churning ryhtym that incites thoughts ancient times.

Wow that was a mouthful.

Oh and all of you Seattle people pay attention.

On November 30th we will be playing live at the Aurafice Cafe from sometime near 10:30 til we finish. I don't think there is a cover and I would be happy to guest list you all if there is a cover. This is our first Seattle show and actually only our 5th live outing. I want to see each of you there. El Yay!

There are too many sounds to make it all work in typing. ;)

I know I could never really hear it in words or be able to get the subtly and timing, sound interplay, or accents, but you did do a good job of giving me the feel of the heart of it.

I mentioned on the thread that I have to get my shit together before I know even if I can go. ( maybe this will help motivate me) If I go I want to be with e-playa camp.

Oh god I thought e-playa had died again, what a relief!

The show...

aw hell, I have no fucking clue.

I *never* have any objectivity at this point in the process. I know panic and sleep dep... but not objectivity.

I have most of the dance steps more or less down and I can find the right notes most of the time too.

We have the words and the rhythm... and a pretty kick ass band. We have some of the best talent the Seattle fringe has to offer.

It had better be ready... there's no time to fix anything now...

Lydia are you guys doing anything strikingly different with it, set, music, staging?

In the past have you experienced a feeling like, ah, like you just don't know there are all the bits and pieces but they don't completely slide together and you feel it lock till about a quarter into the first performance.

This is my second production of Jesus Christ Superstar *this year*.

There couldn't be two different productions out there...

This one is pretty exciting to me. It's a *small* house - very cozy. None of the actors ever leave the stage... and it's set in the late sixties/early seventies... back to the roots of the original production.

Peter and Judas have both been cast as women - not out of some attempt to be artsy... but because they really were the best for the roles.
