I got the day off tomorrow , going to one of the resturants to get a free meal . Did that last year and had 2 beers with the meal , 2 beers was 9.00 dollars

This year Ill just have water

Here is a young buddy of mine , he is in Nat. guard . He's had sniper traing , and scout school, and just passed M.P. school before he left. He's in a security team there. He is the one one the left , they are enjoying some cigars his wife sent him. He wanted to go bad , and he got to . Prayers he's save .

interesting tale.
I have been shopping at the big box store that folks like to disrespect for many years. They have a few nicely placed parking places signed for veterans. On Veterans Day they offer and publish a military discount of 10%.

I was in there a few weeks ago and asked if that discount is available only on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The cashier told me it was always available, just ask, and provide military I.D. So out came my Navy I.D. card from way back when. Saved 10%

registers are programmed for this <M> Military Appreciation Discount

Both Lowe's and Home Depot also offer 10% veteran discounts every day. Just ask and show your military ID - no matter how old.

Last winter I dug out my circa 1964 USMC ID and even though the photo is pretty much faded out, both stores have no problem accepting it and hardly look at it.

But, you gotta ask before they ring the items on the registers.
