AMTRAKATHON 2015 is almost here!

There is an outside chance some of you who attended AMTRAKATHON 2014 in January may have a few brain cells left and can be the Voice of Reason for this year's slide into bacchanalian excess and debauchery! Some of your very favorite burners will be on the train leaving Roseville on January 24 departing at 11:30 a.m. getting into Reno at 4 p.m., including your's truly Doc Pyro, Badger, Feral Hollowell, Purple Patent Pending, OD Green, Lacivious, Krazy Betty, DaBig Wave, Frank the Vintner, and an assortment of Burners and Barbiebarians too wasted to be listed here. Meeting up with us in Reno at the Sands Regency will be Red Vixen and Twist, Ygmir, Looneytunes, Pinemom, Kernal Killbuck, Lucky420/Jonsi, and anybody else who knows the secret password. If you want to be part of the train leaving Roseville PM me and I'll send you an invitation. Ygmir is taking down an entire floor of suites on the 17th floor of the Regency Tower (first come, first served) and the party will last all night long. Sunday morning we'll get together at Harrahs for their champagne Sunday brunch around 11 a.m. Anybody not taking the train and not reserving a suite can still get a room at my cost (about $20 less than the rack rate). The party will begin around 7 p.m. except for those of us already wasted from drowning in champagne and absinthe on the train.

yeah, I'm trying to reserve all the suites at least at the north end of the 17th floor, so, let me know if you want, or want to share, one.
Some of us might even go up Friday night,for double the fun!! So let me know if you want two nights for suites.
I'm hoping it's early enough, they are all available.......

oh, and also on Sunday some of us make a run out to the playa (depending on your time constraints), to see it frozen, and empty, with (usually) a stop at Bruno's on the way back.

sorta neat to see the playa super cold, windy, frozen and empty.

I'm working on getting a number of suites on the 17th floor. Let me know if you are interested,or if people want to share. You can go on their site and see prices for various rooms on that floor. It reads the "upgrade" cost, so,it's that plus the base room rate.
I'm trying to get that base rate lowered if I reserve 6 or so.
If you take one, it'll be transferred into your name and card.
But, if I do a block, I'm hoping to get a discount.
Or get a standard room and just come up and party. They are nice.


it's a great time, assuming we get several 17th floor suites, we open several and do a pot luck and booze potluck and wander between rooms. Shenanigans abound.

so far, the two are reserved by Red/Twist, and me (as usual) for two nights,
There is one Luxury suite left at what looks to be 150 bucks per night and then King suites are going to be 85 per night(all prices not including taxes, I think. I'll get exact amounts upon confirmation of reservations)
Let me know asap if you want one, and for how many nights. first come, first happy.........and served.
they can be shared, too.

we'll actually transfer the reservation to you, in your name.
I do the block to tie it up, and get a better deal.
There may also be more open up there, but I can't get them until these are spoken for.

Hiya gang! I'm still alive, still got both of my legs, not blind, not on dialysis, still have all of my teeth, phew!

Doc, if I'm feeling well enough I would LOVE to hop on The Zephyr in Truckee and come along for the ride to The Sands and what not (I can buy my own train ticket, of course) and grab a discount room.

I mentioned this to Lucky420 and she said she'd be meetin' the train in Reno with the others (I was hoping she'd be into car pooling/train hoppin' w/me but no go, yet) but uh, she's still a fun gal...

If ya' give me to "go ahead' I'll work on a way to car pool it back to my home at the lake.

I regret not hopping on in 2012, when you invited me and I had the chance (before I landed in the fucking hospital three times)!

I have some awesome booze that needs burnin' up, too...( I promise, the flames~ will be safe-ish)

Oh, btw anyone notice the new train tunnel they're digging through the mountainside near Floriston? What's up with that? It's close to the old wooden water chute and swimming holes (I remember friends brave enough to swim/slide down that dark wooden tunnel "trippy" stuff back then in the 80's, lol)!
