My first year there were some many things my campmates and I said that were so surreal and "only at burning man" that I wished I'd written them down more than I wished I'd taken more pictures. The only one I remember was my friend Sam (another Aussie) saying as we walked away from Charcadia "I'm glad you got to see that, they're going to drop a piano on it tomorrow" AmericanBoyfriend thought it was a weird Australian turn of phrase for "pull it down and pack up"

I'm with Organic Fruit and Veggie camp, one morning this year we did a Bacon Pancake and Reggae dance Party, which was very popular by the way. One of our camp mates said this:

Driving the art car around very late one night, picked up a particularly rowdy group, including one extremely inebriated guy dressed as Santa, who started making lewd comments. My wife leaned over to me and said, "I wouldn't sit on that Santa's lap if I were you." Since I was the tour guide for the night, I got on the mic and repeated that to the group. Of course, there was a rush to sit on his lap immediately, ha.

Had to kick him out of the car about 5 minutes later when he started to get a little too handsy.
