I make a point to not read those comments. (except for here ) Most people missed the point. I just thought the comparison to what was going on now in San Francisco was interesting. I wasn't defending the BMORG nor the PnP camps.

Old maybe in that it has been going on for a long time, but it was still a good read. As an anarcho-leaning libertarian (whatever that means) I'd think you'd want it shouted from the roof tops. Something has to be done to rile up the population and reverse this.

Oh, I shouted it from the rooftops for a long, long time until I got tired of 1) fighting other libertarians more than I was fighting the state and 2) beating my head against the wall with no result. Passion can carry you only so far.

And, no, I've never voted for a Republican in my life and voted for a Democrat only once, the guy running against our "sheriff" Joe Arpaio a couple years ago. I even contributed to his campaign.

Well I'd be happy to do that, but experience has shown that anything anyone sends to you privately is immediately shared publically.

There were plenty of reasonable and rational comments left under that blog. Were I not on my iPhone headed to work if copy some of them here. In fact they were real whale and rational enough that Caveat Magister replied to someone them an admitted that he had in fact missed the point that many people had been making.

You have just proven beyond a shadow of a doubt how close minded you are. No one is asking you to comit to this fight at the level Bri has or to even play nice with Bri, we just want you to actually engage with the topic with a little but of intellectual integrity or keep quiet. These are not unreasonable requests.

And Bri and I found the community's comments in response to that article interesting and in a very similar way tried to share them with you. That was not at all an unreasonable thing to do, especially since the original author of the piece you found so interesting was moved to change his stated position based on those comments.

Refusing to engage with the continuing conversation on a piece of writing you yourself felt worthy of discussion is the very height of irrational and close minded.

Accusing me of being irrational in my comments when I in fact used the exact same words that you had used against Bri to call out your close-mindedness is ludicrous.

You cannot expect us to take you seriously if you post something for discussion and then call us close minded, irrational and unreasonable when we try and discuss it with you.

I'm happy to hear that you don't care, perhaps that means you will now allow those of us who do care to have a conversation about the matter at hand without being interrupted by your conversational derailing in every thread on the topic?

Now since this is in fact a thread about the BRCCP and was not really the most appropriate thread for that article to be posted in the first place perhaps we can drop the discussion of it and concentrate on the protest propaganda that this thread is all about. If anyone would like to continue the conversation about Caveat's piece and how the turnkey issue does or does not intersect with default world income disparity and gentrification issues I'll see you in the a politics and philosophy section of the board where those discussions more rightly belong and in fact have been happening for months.

The over-riding hope of the BRCCP is that eventually our cause will reach a critical mass, leading to the ranks swelling enough on the playa for it to make sense buying the 6-pack of ice.

The BRCCP also supports all information pertaining to the sell-out be posted here. What the BRCCP does not support is dismissing the common unconnected persons views without any merit, the claim that the opinion of strangers has no value and is unreasonable while simultaneously claiming the comments being ridiculed were never even read. It's this contempt for the little person that the BRCCP finds so distasteful in the way this whole affair has played out. The whole "you're wasting your time", "fill out a form", "this complaining makes no difference", "boring", "take a Midol", "I don't read comments, only the official satire" and on and on and on.
