Happy Thanksgiving Dear all !

I am struggling to make gluten free gravy for the 24 peeps in my now family who do not want gluten
and yet they are fat frying the turkeys so there won't be drippings
So I had to start over with buying turkey parts.
meanwhile of course I am enjoying as much gluten as possible
berry pie for breakfast

enjoy what ever you do best today

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Today, I go shopping and then cook Thanksgiving dinner. No plans, no visitors. I can think of a dozen of you right away that I wouldn't mind inviting over......

I am making ONE special order this afternoon...for my new housemate, Starr, now a.k.a. the Starkitty. I'm going to pulverize some turkey dark meat and mix it into her Science Diet with some turkey broth.

It threatened to snow yesterday, but there was no snow when I got home.

Gluten-free my ass, we're gonna COOK something. AND eat it.

Mellow start to the day. Trying to tolerate some substitute coffee because our regular coffee order wasn't placed in time to arrive here before all holiday shipping goes ass-up. Carolan's Irish Cream is helping. And I'm wearing a neoprene/steel wrist and hand restraint due to carpal-tunnel-like pains in the right hand, the catalyst for which I cannot fathom. I just know I couldn't button my shirt this morning without searing pain. Very sudden.
Again, Carolan's Irish Cream is helping. So is 800mg of Ibuprofen.

Cats are dozing. One of two dogs - the puppy - is playing with her favorite rubber ball. Dryer is humming. Sounds of industry up in the kitchen.
Otherwise, all quiet near the Continental Divide.

Mornin' campers!

I'm in Riverside celebrating Thanksgiving and Jackie's 21st birthday week. It's 88 degrees outside, perfect skinny dipping weather except that the landlord filled in the pool. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm fixin' to get ready to deep fry a turkey.

Family about to arrive. Turkey is ready and the eating orgy is about to begin. We are really very fortunate folks indeed.

Wish we could give thanks for peace and abundance for all those who don't enjoy such blessings both here at home and in the troubled and strife torn parts of the world.

So we do what we can to make humankind a bit kinder and count our blessings for our friends and families.

robbi dear, Starr deserves every bit of goodness I can give her, because I made the commitment to take care of my animal for the animal's life span. The cat is socialist. Free medical and dental care, provided, and a free kitty-calorie balanced diet.

Me? I'm like Spock. I appreciate fuzzy little tribbles that meow and purr, though I'll never admit it openly.

Need more people like you Rhino. I feel the same as you.
The animal loves you unconditionally, although cats can be weird about it at times, such as when I'm sitting on the couch watching TV and Como, our orange tabby is lying next to me purring and he starts kneading my side with his needle sharp claws. Yeah I've thrown him off before but after a few minutes of pouting, he wants to be friends again. He'll be 15 next spring.

Thank you, catman. And well done on your part. Starr is spayed (they do it before you're allowed to adopt here) and she is not declawed. She is currently asleep on the carpet next to me as I type....she seems to have the purr-fect disposition. I'll pick her up and carry her to her sleeping spot in the bedroom (on the bed in a little cubby I made for her of soft velour blankets that sets on the opposite side of the bed. She'll get a skritchy-skritch under the chin and between the ears and between the shoulder blades, and she's good for the night. I am definitely fond of this cat, it seems. Well, she chose me......and I came as advertised, I guess....I am a soft hearted guy......

My mind hasn't forgotten Kate by a long shot, but it's now a sweeter memory of what was. I was 100% responsible for her until her final day. She had a long, forever-home type of life that's all a cat wants in the end. I'll do the same for Starr. I tell her every day that this is her 'forever home' with me, and it's a promise I intend to keep.

Just checking in from Sunbeam's house in Texas. No pictures, but this pet longhorn bull of hers is magnificent. All is ship shape with the F-350 & 5th wheel camping trailer--and us.
Remarkably, traveling by airline on Tuesday before Thanksgiving went flawlessly.
