Which color plastic would admit less midday heat when used as a small skylight in a plywood structure?
smoked/brown or reflective/mirrored/silver ?
Thanks

Re: Plastic glazing
Seems to me like a blue skylight would allow the least heat in as the color of sunlight in our atmosphere is typically in the yellow-red range of the spectrum and a blue skylight would filter that range out. But that's just off the top of my head.

Re: Plastic glazing
the best would be a reflective finish with a solid UV coating. That blocks the UV as well as reflects away the majority of the sun's energy.

Not to be a jerk, but you might want to post a little about this structure before you build it. Lots of good eyes here that would be willing to share experiences, etc.
Plywood is one of those materials that tends to trap and reradiate heat. These things can get really hot no matter what type of windows or skylight you use.
