But true. In the summertime I suspect that Georgia asphalt is over 150 degrees F when it's ten years old.

We were on top of NEW asphalt in downtown St. Louis and the ambient air temperature was 110. Two feet above the asphalt was 125, and the asphalt was melting bad enough that the contractor had to relay it the following week.
