Good Morning Dear Bar !

Elliot the photo is wonderful, please tell about it.

So much stuff to do today because I am supposed to never stop the care of family needing traditions.
somehow now that they are all adults they seem to have lost their sense of humor
whereas I find my own is growing.
I am laughing at all of this excuse to eat sugar
My daughter , on bed rest for an iffy pregnancy, just sent me video imagery of truffle-making from bed rest.

I am going to the gym.

The picture is of Laura, my brother's girlfriend. She is interning at a wolf sanctuary.

Thank you Elliot.

I actually think that photo is of greeting card weight.
I've been consulting for a child who does not relate well to people and this would answer parental concerns.

Now you have me concerned. What do you mean? (That's a wolf in the picture; not a dog.)

That child thinks she relates better with wolves.

Got my buckeyes dipped, and made a big batch of bourbon fudge, very smooth and creamy... and, Archie & I made 25 bottles of Apple Pie. 8) There, my gift list is done.

Going out to dinner soon with some very chill neighbors, actually the non-argumentative members of our Co-op's outgoing Board, they got a lot done around here while tolerating a lot of bullshit, so, I want to thank them. Should be fun!

Good Morning Dear Bar !

Ouch Lucky, sorry.
Yggy is here , Yay !

Each day is full of old disciplines taught me by my Mother.
My primary work at this time of year is to be a "cheerleader".
She was in the last portion of her life and still came out of her room in my running gear and headband
panting "got to keep going can't stop to talk"...

So have you tried eggnog ?
I just indulged myself (with extra shots from Peets.

She reminds me of 1971 (or '72?) when I made a similar loop of the country, covering 26 states and 16,000 miles over three months in a 1961 Rambler station-wagon. With two spare tires on the roof. Grocery budget... $2 a day. At one point I paid $4 for a motel room. And gasoline cost something like 30 cents per gallon.

Pat said something about expecting Elorrum to show in AZ today.

Wishing you all a stellar Dec. 21st. Kenny's Day, but he's sharing.

Happy Kenny's day! Yes I'm in Arizona at Patsch's. Lovely long drive in the warm dry West. There was about an hourlong sunset yesterday in Texas that was changing as I drove. Beautiful!!!! Long big sky show. Another great sunrise in Arizona as well.
Tamara Kay and Ken were wonderful to me and got me fixed up with Tex mex and whataburger (Sadie got me started and was wonderful as well.) Ken looked at my tires yesterday as I was heading out and the rear ones were balding badly. I got two new rear tires before I left and had 15 hrs. of secure motoring.
I am wondering what adventures await me here.

Sounds like you are going to see Jerome from the trike. That was certainly a highlight for me. Oh... and the restaurant Pat took me to, right there on the main drag -- I forget what the dish was called, but it was fantabulous! There are two menus in the place; an official one for tourists, and a hidden one for locals.

Late afternoon to all!!

Kinda like the misfortune lucky had by bumpin her head, I shut the car door on my right thumb this morning. Kind of a turquoise color. Still hurts like a mother.
I guess buffing the haze off my trucks headlights contributes to it still feeling like it just happened.

ps
tried the toothpaste bit and does work on headlights.

There's youtube videos on cleaning the yellowish oxidation from plastic headlight lenses using toothpaste, papertowels and a little elbow grease.
Tried it for the first time today using Crest toothpaste. I put some on my fingers and rubbed it on the lens in a circular motion and kept adding more til the entire headlight was covered. Then I wiped it with a papertowel in a circular motion applying pressure. It's not as good as factory new but it'll improve the lights function and night visibility.
First time I heard was from people at work.

Finally, turn on the computer!!
Yes, Elorrum is here!!!!!! YAY!

Hoping for a nice, warm and sunny afternoon soon to trike around.
Elliot, that wonderful little restaurant (Quince.5) met an untimely demise, when the owner/chef skipped town owing tons on bills and giving all the employees bum checks. Nobody's seen hide nor hair of him since. Before all that happened, he had moved the restaurant down the hill to Cottonwood, and seemed to have been doing very well... big place, and always packed. Another one bites the dust.

Trying to talk Elorrum into staying 'til the AmtrakAthon... (it's not working yet)

Tires.... My neighbor came over a couple weeks ago and asked me to help her change a wheel because there was a nail in the tire and it was leaking air.

There was a nail in one spot, all right, and in an other spot there was steel cord showing thru. Thank you, Nail!

I"m looking for a "tire regroover" tool. the tires on my new deuce, are load range "L", and say "regroovable", in research, it looks like I can cut about 3/8" deeper into the treads and still have good cover over the plys.....and well, at "20 ply", how bad can it be?

Ygmir, I suspect there is not much re-grooving done today, since re-capping technology has been pretty much perfected. And from what I learned recently, probably from Ranger Magnum, tires that have been re-grooved cannot be re-capped.

So... finding a re-grooving tool might not be easy. But I would look on eBay. You can set up a permanent search that will notify you by e-mail of any new listing. And you can do the same on Craigslist.

Also, be aware that dirt track racers use a similar tool for adding grooves to tires, so this tool is readily available. In fact, re-grooving tools that come up on eBay will likely be this type. I do not know if it can reach deep enough for your purpose.

Finally, you might try using a wood-worker's router. But practice on a junk tire first.
