Dang!! I'm about 115 miles from there... that's a couple of hours, and I just got home to the computer, so have no idea how long ago this happened.lucky420 wrote:Just heard from Ellorum.
She has broke down in Kingman AZ. she has a mechanic on the way and will either get it fixed or tow will take her to motel tonight.
Anybody in the area?
I don't know of any burners or other friends over there.

Re: The Bar 2014 Edition
Yes, indeed, that's what she's doing right now. The problem has been diagnosed as a failed water pump, a new one already ordered, to be installed tomorrow. She was able to stop before it even started to overheat, so, likely no damage there.MyDearFriend wrote:Not long not long, she is probably still waiting for the tow truck.Patsh wrote:

Good to hear that Elorrum has everything under control. Not a surprise with all her friends rallying about and how competent she is!
Hey ED, my thank you and 2014 ticket came yesterday as well and signed by the same folks as yours plus a couple of other ARTery folks. Hanging on my wall now.

In warm hotel room. Brought my dinner this time and thermos of semi warm coffee (have microwave and mug.)
20 degrees in Igor camper last night at the grand canyon campground. I was toasty warm in two sleeping bags. Looking forward to hopefully hot shower now. 8000 miles on my little red car this tour... expected some snags and budgeted accordingly.
I am so warmed by the calvalry at ready. Stand down, all is well.

Yeah, I wondered if anybody else caught that. A double typo in one word! And there you were.ygmir wrote:confused, but ready all the same:
And another typo, sort'a: If we are going to include my bum in my camp name, I want it written with an Oxford comma:

Of course, I could also be...

The one time I was towed after returning from Europe, I ended up in the truck/car, on top of one of those towing flatbeds. I felt so grand...MyDearFriend wrote:Text from Elorrum:

Re: The Bar 2014 Edition
You are SO right, Crypto, and even I know EXACTLY what you mean. The grand feeling arrives both as the result that something is getting done and the complementary pleasure of sitting so high up above the world. I suppose both reasons have something to do with why some folks in this world are truckers. Maybe we can get AntiM to shed some light on it, or her husband. The warm tow truck helps, too.
I couldn't help but snicker a little when the cavalry/Calvary issues were being brought up. Next time, the word 'dragoons' could be used for cavalry (former term for cavalry until 1861), but then again may be not. It sounds too much like crossdressing enforcers, as in drag goons......

Going to get a shuttle to the auto shop soon. Estimate below "oh my God" range, so that's good.

That part I understand just fine. But I'm still learning how to navigate, if that is the term, my way around on the page. I suppose I could read the manual, or run the tutorial. Now that I've done my first two-layer image, I reckon I will soon do another, and it will soon become easy.Tin Halo wrote:My epiphany finally came years ago when I realized Photoshop operates much like one of those overhead projectors we had to suffer through, in school.Elliot wrote:[But I'm just barely beginning to learn this "layers" wizardry in Photoshop.
