Let's have a LDR until Burning Man 2015!

This past weekend I went to a show at the Fillmore in SF. A lovely woman who had previously dated the writer/actor Sam Shepard greeted me at the door, kissed my cheek, took my arm, told me that she was now considering getting divorced because of me, and she was serious. She bought me a drink, we went and sat at her table, and then she introduced me to her husband. Nice guy. Also at the table was the nutso boyfriend of this girl I have asked out repeatedly on a date, and we go out all the time, just never on a date, and now she has this guy. And he is also sitting at the table. He leaves for a moment and the woman asked me where he went, so I tell her the honest truth, "I don't give a fuck where he is." She said that was a side to me she had never seen, I think the divorce is off. On stage is the girl I asked out along with this smoking hot guitar player who I have a heavy crush on, and she really likes me (you should hear her version of the song "Little Red Riding Hood" that she dedicated to me). Of course she is in another band, where she plays with her husband and her possibly female lover. So, yeah, things going great on the near distance relationship front. Now that I think about it, maybe a LTR would just disrupt the ship of romance I already got floating

The only thing missing from here as near as I can tell is: Dear Penthouse Forum, you'll never believe...

What the hell, might as well mention that the girl with the boyfriend and the women mentioning divorce are daughter and mother...
Yeah, concluding with me not getting or seeing any action, not the most exciting of Penthouse Forums, much like a day spent in my company, there may be some hint of promise there, but....

There's more than one kind of "nice" you know. With this crowd, you're not likely to find any of that "nice" that people habitually put on themselves because they are incapable of being honest with themselves and the world about who they really are. You're not going to get that kind of "nice" that's really just a namby-pamby veneer over a real personality. And you're not going to get that sort of "nice" that sort of lets you go along without letting you know you're about to walk off a cliff. Well, okay, maybe we will let you walk over the cliff.

To me, your post came across as an unfortunate combination of tldr, and cutesy. It was a gambit and it didn't really work. We wont hold that against you. I certainly had a rough start on the board, and I know that's not comfortable. I wish people loved everything I wrote here. It's a learning process. I make mistakes. When I'm lucky, and when I pay attention, I learn from them. There are a lot of utterly fabulous people on this board, people who will be in your corner in all sorts of situations. It's just not an instant relationship. Stick around, throw yourself into the fray, and see what happens.
