One small problem with the rig you picture there, bri. You need about a half-acre foot of water to run it to put out anything. The rig is Hungarian, believe it or not. There were about 30 oil well fire firefighting firms at the time in Kuwait putting out the result of Saddam's troops playing with matches. There was so much burning at the time that they actually had to give a bonus to Red Adair to pull him out of retirement to get him there to spearhead the effort.

If you want to put out the fire with dynamite, you're going to have to contact the fire safety team.

Okay, okay, so The BRCCP needs to reschedule the Burn for when Lake Lahontan is in full effect...just one more totally reasonable demand to add to the list.

For when Lake Lahontan is still in effect? bri.....get real. Lake Lahontan would cover the playa to a depth of a couple of hundred feet. The last time that happened was about a million years ago. (1.2 million to be exact) It had 8 separate stillstands as it slowly evaporated; you can see each one of the ancient shorelines on the 9 o'clock side of the playa. Back in those days, Lake Bonneville was full, too.

All that remains of Lahontan is Pyramid Lake to the south of Empire, and on the Pyramid Paiute Reservation. They're not about to let a bunch of crazy white assholes steal the rest of their water. They kicked the white man's lily white ass in April 1860 at the Battle of Pyramid Lake. No reason to think they won't do it again if pushed the wrong way. Your revolutionary zeal wouldn't stand a chance against some of the F.B.I. running around....that's Fucking Big Indians for you non rez crowd........
