mgb327, You're right. By the light of day that idea doesn't fly. BUT...If I can get her to take off her clothes willingly...I'll bring a big duffle bag and grab her clothes, inhibitions, virtue, dignity and what ever else she carelessly left lying around.

Patch! Didn't you get a journal at the hof? I brought 30 of all descriptions. Oh well. I'll bring those plus more to the burn along with writing implements. So far the plan for the index books is to have one at Elliots and one at BRC Beacon with Eric. The Beacon has a prime location on the Esplanade. (I think I have that right. It's been 6 or 8 months.) Trillo had mentioned starting a thread after the camps receive their placement that would help everyone find each other. No chit chat. No long descriptions of how great your camp is. Just the name of your camp, persons staying there and the placement address. I know it's not exact but placement is pretty close. I've already started my playa address book. Camps and names I can get the addresses later.

I did admire the collection of cool little journals and address books you had there, but didn't take one... I already keep a copy of the BRC map with all the important people and events on it. So far, it's still un-written-upon, though I have some general ideas where some of us will be. Waiting for the official placements... any day, now!

Was just wondering where the second of your books would be, so we can be sure to write in BOTH, where we'll be.

The last few years we've been right next to the Artery (where Esplanade, Rod's Road & 5:30 meet), we're hoping for the same this year (we like being Artery's neighbor since they're super nice, they like us since we have no problems with how busy they are). Once placement is announced I'll make sure everyone knows.

Eric, Sorry about getting the camp name wrong. I love the weekly. I should have asked you if you would like a book there instead of relying on last years post. I hope you do.

Every time I think I'm amassing too much stuff I think of Elliot. WOW! Now that's going to be a big heavy load of metal. Just the bikes are enough to crush you. Then add on all the spare parts and it's the equivalent of bringing a store inventory to the desert. Then my little box of Eplaya signs and paper goods isn't so heavy after all. (I made almost 100 laminated 'Eplaya' signs of different sizes.) Plus our camp does foam and fur bike seat covers. They weigh next to nothing. I will be getting my water in Fernly again to keep the weight down.

I am kind of sad that Elliot is moving from his usual 5:30 near the JOTS spot. Random encounters with him restocking the TP was a highlight.

Danibel, that was on 5:00. So we are only moving "half hour". In fact, if I understand it right, we are moving a tad less than half hour -- to the opposite end of the same block (if we pretend that the 1/4 hour avenue is not there).

Are you sure? I have been camping on 5:45 (which for some reason I had in my head that is was 6:15) for the past few years and I thought the JOTS were at 5:30 and 6. Ah well. Anyway. I will find you and put my camp location in the book. Once I know where the hell I will be!

One really good thing about being a theme camp (which we are not) is the placement thing. Thankfully my set up is not big. 20x24 and a little bit more for the nose of my van. I hope I can squeeze in somewhere.

Our camp this year is Rods Road @3:30 (Basically just a little bit away from the Man from where Rods Road & 5:30 intersect). We'll have a front dome, and we can make sure the book is in there with a pen.
