Re: The Bar 2015 Edition
Morning everyone. I need advice. My boss at the bar bought apple juice. We asked for lemonade. Does anyone drink either with their alcohol? I prefer lemonade since I am well over 3 years old. Can you personally suggest any drinks made from them.

Sounds like a modification of the famous Tequila Sunrise....Elorrum wrote:Good morning BAR!

I kinda like the 'Horny Toad':
45ml tequila (Sauza Hornitos preferred)
90ml Midori melon liqueur
It's mean, it's green. I last had one in Bozeman, Montana. I was up there on a speaking trip to Montana State University and I sat at the airport bar with a cowboy who was on a trip to Missouri to pick up a pair of Missouri Foxtrotter horses. Seems they do well as mounts for cowboys who are herding in the upper mountain meadows. We had a good conversation, and I sincerely hope he does well in his pursuits. He was a modern-day cowboy who wore his holster......with a cellular phone in it. Gives the phrase 'I'm a callin' you out' a whole new meaning to cowboys.
The drink was invented (formulated or concocted for the first time) at a Mexican restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri.
Glad to hear you're here, Elorrum, and home safely from your trip.

Made it back in one piece around 10:15. Didn't stay long. Had a cheeseburger, fries, coleslaw, and a coke, listened to a band for a while. There was a few hundred people there, probably more through the duration.lucky420 wrote:Safe travels catman, hope they have a good turnout.
Gotta give my truck a tune-up, new air filter, it burned about 15 gallons of gas to go about 190 miles round trip
I'm up til at least midnight, put on nights again due to a possibility of light snow Sunday night

Re: The Bar 2015 Edition
Good morning everyone! I'm finally up in a normal hour for change that considering I work overnights. Going to work sewing today in cleaning house. I talked to John yesterday, and he gave the green light for our vacation....
We are going to burning man!!!
We had been talking about what we were going to do this year and I told him that I really wanted to come back to Black rock city one more time and then next year we are going somewhere else. So this will be my last year for a very long time going back to Burning Man, but I'm super to be coming back home. So now I have to do some light shopping for items that he needs and teach him how to ride a bike. Along with teaching him about the principles and making him read the survivor guide. But yeah I'm super super happy to be coming back home this year as long as I get tickets which hopefully I should be able to get.
Now I just have to find a camp for us both because I've always done camps in don't really want to be the whole camping alone in the middle of burning man not my cuppa tea. and I think John will enjoy having his first year being with the campus well I know my first year was awesome by being with a camp.

Good day, good morning. Hot coffee in the pot when I got up, very nice. Stay warm MDF, and hopefully it won't be slippy when you get out. Good morning, Marty, ygmir, AS, and AntiM, I always chuckle when you call us "fuckos."

Morning Bar!
Off to the city of Sparks today to receive an award(along with coworkers) for best community entrant in the Hometowne Christmas parade that was held last month.
it was so much fun being a gingerbread person. Lots of comments and smiles from kids and a few naughty ones from adults...heeheeee
hope everyone has a good day.
oh and it's overcast here but no moisture in sight

Re: The Bar 2015 Edition
MORNIN ALL!!
Got up about 10 minutes ago. Put the dog out. Didn't get any precipitation so I didn't work last night.....it stayed way north and east of here in Humbolt and Elko counties. Just overcast and about 46 degrees and the stagnant air has been scoured out
Still on night shift for the week 2:30pm to 11:00pm, possibility of precipitation Friday night into Saturday.
Even though the dog is outside, there are birds at the feeder and three of the cats are sitting at the back windows with their tails twitching and teeth chattering.
Be safe.

How cool! Subduction zone earthquake in January. Pijijiapan is in southern Mexico, just north of the Guatemala/Mexico Border.
As always, I hope no one was hurt or killed.
Last January (2014), the benchmark was the Sinabung volcanic eruption in Indonesia that produced 4 tornadoes out of its pyroclastic flow.
Is January the new benchmark month?
Only geologic time and process will tell.
That is all.
