Aternoon All!

I lost 4 pounds since being put on nights. I was kicking around to go to Super Burrito tonight but after seeing I lost some weight I'm thinking I'll just take some fruit with me, which I did Tuesday and yesterday. Hopefuly I can keep it off for good or at least until I do my DOT physical on the 20th.
Three day weekend coming up. Nice and unusually warm, breezy today. Just shy of 60. Got some windows open. If it stays like this til April I'll be happier than a skunk eating cabbage.

Mmmmmmmmmm coffee. Heading to my sweet daddy's 80th birthday party today. Party place (of his choice) a good old family friendly honky tonk. Food, family, and some boot scootin. Woot!

Thanks, Elorrum! We got it done yesterday - for a mere $40 (mostly tax). Went so well, and the piece was so deteriorated, we figured we'd do the other side today just through common sense. Unfortunately the local parts place doesn't have deliveries on Saturdays, and they're closed tomorrow - so it won't get done until early next week. Pretty sure I'm ok 'til then.

"Feels like" -41 last night (no need to translate that to F, as we're equal by -42).
+1 now projected for tomorrow.

I do not want to stop but there you go
Apparently my password was "weak"
Yeah , right ..uppercut that

and so I am off to the trenches of Apple vs Sprint re my iphone.crosscut that.

A beautiful day here .

Mornin All!!

Got up around 08:30, a bit earlier than what I've been doing all week. I get a three day weekend to reaclimate to days.
Gotta take some recyclable goods to the dump later on, then gonna check the RV show at gsr. Can't afford anything but like to wish. After that go to the Gold-Silver diner and maybe Cabella's.

Hope all have a nice weekend

Did the hike with my dog Pete. For those of you who know Reno, we hiked to the "N".
Damn it's been a long time since I've done that (when I was a kid). It was awesome and a very good workout.

Now for some  and couch time...

ha,dang,missed the whole day here!!

first and foremost: YAY FOR BIN!!!!

good to see folks swinging in at times.
seems we've sort of neglected the old bar, doing other stuff and all...........

I was distracted this morning, trepidatious about my task: teach my daughter to drive a manual transmission car.
Namely, my old 78 MBZ 240D 4 spd.
Knowing, if she can drive that, most other cars will be easy.
It went surprisingly well, in about an hour ,she was shifting, and starting of on very slight, but still, inclines, hardly rolling backwards at at all.......but fatigue and frustration set in, and we quit for the day,.........more to come tomorrow............

and no one played a cartoon?
well.............

Hi YG, Know what you are experiencing. Just got through teaching a couple of grandsons to drive. Used the parking lot at the College of Marin on the weekend. About an hour or so was plenty. That was on my automatic which is so very much easier.

Nite all.

Exactly, Marty!

I just got up from a third round of returning to the bed for a nap.

Yesterday was EPIC. New lady friend and I went on a quest, first to an old-time general store and adjacent museum in Williamsburg, Missouri. The store has been in existence for over a hundred and fifteen years! They have a lot of antiques in the museum next door that we might think of as "unsold merchandise" if we lived in the 1840s. They even have the original land grants to the family framed all the way back to John Quincy Adams! This is a place where stuff is added every single day. I sat for a half hour and talked with the owner's sister at the museum; she's in her 70s and a classy lady. We will definitely talk again.

Then, on to Herrmann, the traditionally German enclave town on the Missouri River and south to its little sister town, Swiss. There's a restaurant/tourist trap/grocery store where you can sample 60 different types of German sausages. Of course, I ended up buying 8 or 10 packages I didn't need, but they even have regional wursts in all of the regional German styles - Bavarian, etc., ALL MADE on the premises. Knockwurst, bratwurst, braunschweiger, even Cajun boudin and Andouille sausages. They even sell shelf-stable CHEESE.
A trip here before the playa may definitely be in order. Indeed, yesterday I got to sample the BEST of the WURST!

Then back to CoMo (Columbia, Missouri) to eat out at the Asian bistro. The Korean lady that runs it really knows her stuff, and offers a superb Asian fusion cuisine that includes sushi, tempura, pad thai, etc., etc., I had a dungeness crab, shrimp, chipotle sushi listed on the menu as "Gojira". Good choice. Tasty and just the right amount of heat.

More epic tours-de-rhino are in the near future.

Mornin All!!

Went to the RV show at the gsr yesterday. $$$. Was gonna go to the Gold Silver diner but instead went to the Nugget in downtown Reno for an awful, awful. Been about two years since I've had one.
Three months from today we'll be attending our first Reno Aces game for 2015 :D

Shaping up to be a nice day again. Might top 60 this afternoon. Burn code is green

Rhino, sounds like you had a great Saturday. I like going to German places. One of the few things I miss about living in Pennsylvania. The only German place here is Bavarian World on Valley Rd @ 6th St in Reno. It's a good eatin place.

Have a nice Sunday all!!
