It's a bad bad negative feedback loop going on here. I go to burning man and have my hope in humanity restored, then I get all fucking excited and passionate and want to relate to other people that are all passionate and excited and shit over the Internet. Then I log into eplaya and watch videos of Donald Rumsfeld reminding me that it's pretty much hopeless...

digital, you should never go looking for the restoration of hope in humanity; it's too diverse a set to figure out. Look in the mirror first, because that's always where you'll find hope and maybe truth if you're not in the habit of kidding yourself.

Low income cost $200 less then normal price. So 200 is to help subsidize low income and 200 is gouging/profiteering? What are the other programs that are subsidized by presale? If it were all for low income they would be free. Burning man scalps its own $390 tickets for $800 and people accept it. John/Jane Q whomever does the same thing and is vilified. Why?

You might want to check the definition of scalping. BM is the original seller and can charge whatever they want for their tickets and it wouldn't be called scalping.

Let me clarify for you since you have trouble understanding: $800 IS the face value of pre-sale tickets. You can't scalp tickets to your own event. Don't like it? Don't buy one.
