The BRCCP notices in the Bloomberg article a statement from an acquaintance. Recalling the Benjamin Franklin quote, the BRCCP notifies this acquaintance that it looks like we will all hang together. They respond by throwing credit to me.... So flattering, until I realize how that fits into the Franklin quote.

Ya know, being well-hung has saved many a relationship.

Imam reasonably sure that somewhere a blacklist has been generated and data has been mined and an executive directive against sale or entry issued. (Or should I post this on the conspiracy thread?)

I'm looking at custom made rubber wristbands. Should they say something like "Reformed 1%er", or what? Of course I can go with the pre-made wristbands left over from Lance Armstrong to represent the spirit of the 1% Camp.

Why be concerned about anything that does not affect you directly?

I went out to Alcatraz this weekend to see an art exhibit highlighting human rights. There were example of heroes from around the world. In prison, killed, tortured, demonized. As the display says, these prisoners fight for our freedom. But how can that be if their individual plight does not effect me directly in my day to day living? My day could pass easily without a thought to their hardship. And I am sure many of them suffer due to concern for others beyond themselves. You see, that is a positive trait of compassionate people; caring for others even if it isn't in our direct self-interest. How easy it would be to shut one's eyes and only allow the comfort of your life to concern you, especially if you are born into comfort. How sad to see people believe turning a blind eye is some sort of virtue.

I see a woman there, she has a mischiefs smirk on her face. Cute, smart looking, I take notice, I feel a connection. Looking at the information included with the art display , I finally find her, the picture of her that I see in the display on those fighting for human rights. She is in some hell hole. Her crime? She was convicted of waging war against God. And once more, I am in love.
