here's my karaoke song, hope you likey:

Gonna sit down in the kitchen and fix me something good to eat
and make my head a little high and make this whole day complete
cuz we gonna lay around the shanty mama and put a good buzz on.

Well pass it to me baby, pass it to me slow
we'll take time out to smile a little before we let it go
cuz we gonna lay around the shanty mama and put a good buzz on.

Well there ain't nothin' to do and there's always room for more
fill it, light it, shut up and close the door
cuz we gonna lay around the shanty mama and put a good buzz on.

We gonna sit around the kitchen fix us somethin' good to eat
and make ourselves a little high and make the whole day complete
cuz we gonna lay around the shanty mama and put a good buzz on.

Ev'ry night and day (if I can help it)
We're gonna lay around the shanty momma, and put a good buzz on.

may i have a single malt scotch to clear my throat for a little Sinatra?

My Way

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear,
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain.

I've lived a life that's full.
I've traveled each and ev'ry highway;
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I've had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried.
I've had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
"No, oh no not me,
I did it my way".

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my waaaayyyyyyyyyy!

Guin, what's wrong? Will some secret PM ing help?

Stu, your thong has to say 'beer over evil' for people to go gaga. It's the bar theme, not the body or the undergarment.

well, for all of thee who have asked:

I had decided to bit the big one and purchase a new ibook from Mac, so's I can talk to ya'll from the comforts of my home (well, there's more to it than that, but that's definitely one of the perks). But, as I have ziltch for credit, Apple.com won't offer me a line of credit enough to be billed for the laptop, as opposed to paying all of it in cash. I had got my hopes all up, preparing to purchase, ready and willing to owe apple a good chunk of money for a good chunk of time, and now I can't. I still have to wait.

And I HATE waiting!

So, I'm disappointed.

I don't need much: I just want to email and such... but I need to have an airport card for my apartment...

wahhhh!!

I need a drink.

really??

Okay...

it's really simple.

Mac ibook (preference)
combo drive--cd, rw (want)
256 mb RAM (need)
airport card (need)
>20 gig HD (need)

I think that's it. I'm not exactly what you would classify as a computer wiz... I was drooling over the 12' g4's on apple's site, their lowest priced one seems to be exactly what I need...

and, really, Stuart: it's beautiful of you to give a shit...

thanks

The biggest prob with mac IMHO, is that the software for *anything* is usually 25 to 60% more. I hate that. It sucks.

no in my experience tony

all the softy I use is priced identically across all three platforms. Now, IRIX software, that's another story.

certainly in guins case however, the browser, word processor, mail program, photo editing, music editing and composing, DVD and movie editing will all come for the low low price of free.

I don't mean to start a platform war here. I am typing this on a windows box afterall.

No war stuart... I'm speaking of 2 in particular myself. I needed Word on my mac, and it costed much more... thank you asshole MS... and then I paid more for PS than I did for my windows machine.

Just my experience... of course I didn't have the luxury of time to look around at that time.
