Toronto burners

Hello beautiful people! I can't wait to experience my first Burning man in a couple years and meet all the amazing people that make this event possible!!! I'm from Toronto and will be traveling with a couple friends. I am the one planning the trip and traveling to the BM is the biggest issue thus far. If anyone can help me with traveling tips and experiences to the playa from Canada and/or Toronto that would help greatly!!!

Hey,

First off, check out the BurnT Toronto Burners group on Facebook. That's where you'll connect with a lot of locals, and they organize a monthly drinks night where you can really pick their brains.

Next, there is a major camp going every year called The Lost Penguins. All TO.

We usually go by ourselves (no camp), been 3 times. Best is to fly into Reno a day ahead, rent your vehicle, shop, etc, and get a good last sleep. Hotels in Reno are pretty inexpensive. You also want to book one for a night after the burn for the same reason, and to give you a bit of time cushion in case you'll be delayed leaving the event.

Any questions - ask away!
