I have to say, Killbuck, that fully detailed sideshow banner really is spectacular. I especially love those little swirls and hashes in the background. Really excellent work, freakishly great! I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for the playa this year.

I'm totally bringing my vintage pump pipe organ that shoots rainbow colored flames 30 ft into the air this year!!!....to play you guys some sideshow themes do i need to pay a bunch of monay and get it officially approved before i bring it?..or can i just bring it and play?

Hello Lordtrigon,
Anything that has fire, whether in a Theme Camp or on the Playa must be registered through the Art Dept. Inspection of all fire art is an Event stipulation required by the BLM. This is done through the Art Dept. The inspections are done by FAST. (Fire Art Safety Team) You will see a request for info pop up when you submit a Theme Camp application. You can submit an app at the Artery during the Event. You will need drawings of the system and a list of parts. It will then get inspected and laminated on Playa. Save yourself problems and pre register your fire art. There is no cost for registering or inspecting your fire art.

Thanks for the info..i will do that. The fire synth i'm playing in the avatar was featured at the crucible fire arts fest in oakland.,,havent brought the pipes organ out to the playa yet. i think this year is gonna be the year!!!

That would make a really nice addition to a Theme Camp. Especially if you can allow others to operate it. Interactive fire art is always a crowd pleaser.
