Heya from Seattle

Post by quinkygirl » Thu Feb 12, 2015 7:10 pm

After having The Burn on my radar since the mid-90s, I am FINALLY going to go!!! I've done regionals, and I have many dear folk who go, so this is the year!

I'm so excited I could spit! I'm going to be with a well-established camp, Do More Now, which makes it less overwhelming. I'm hoping to expand on the daytime chill space in the Firehouse building, offering replenishment and relaxation for all -- electrolytes, herbal tinctures, hangover help, head pettings, and chill music, plus cooler than normal temps because it's going to be on the third floor of the building if I can pull it off.

Hoping to meet you in the dust!

Welcome Quinkygirl, Sounds like you're pulling it all together. Do tell us more about this building. 3rd floor will be cooler?

I'm told that the third floor is significantly cooler because of the way it catches the breeze. Now, here's hoping that enough people in our camp can miracle tickets to go! We didn't do so well in the Individual sale. DGS went better, though, and I got two tickets!

The NW Regional event, Critical NW, just announced it's event dates: July 13-18...great way to meet the local Burner community. Check out criticalnw.org

Hi!
I am from Seattle too and this will be my first burn. I'm actually lookng for a ride down there and back since I don't have a car of my own. I can throw massive amounts of $$$ towards gas and snacks and stuff :D I am very friendly and loving and can carry on good conversation! If you know of someone who might have room for one more in their vehicle down to the burn please let me know :) I have tried going to BM for a few years now and this year its finally falling into place for me. Transportation is the last hurdle... Anyways, much love to the Seattle Burn community! <3
