Billion Bearded Lady's March

In the spirit of this years theme, I'm announcing the official first annual billion bearded lady march.

Start by MAKING a beard.

Gather the shedded pet hair, shave your s/o while they sleep, repurpose a merkin, get a wig from goodwill, cut one out of construction paper, but try not to BUY a false beard!!! (Build ur burn, don't buy ur burn.)

The march will start at the MAN at 10 AM Wed. morning and march, dance, crawl, hobble, or bike to the temple where the beards will be hung or tied to the interior.

Come on lady's and gentleman, step right up, and lets CREATE a record breaking event!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spread the word!!!!!!!

I can definitely crochet myself a beard in time for this event.

Quite worried about the "hanging them up in the temple" part, as until I'd fully digested what that meant, I had pictured Kenny by my side, boobs-abobbing, happy to be a bearded Woman for a change. Not sure that his detaches for the final part of that trek....

It's totally up to the participant how they do this event.

The only guideline (not a rule) is to make your own beard.

Some of us ladies have this as a natural "skill".

I like this - and FIGJAM's right, bearded lady makes for an easy and fun option you can wear anytime through the week. Guys looking to dress in drag can do some looking around in thrift stores to see what kind of options are out there - you'll save a few bucks, re-use and re-purpose existing stuff, and in many cases you support a charitable organization.

Make sure that beard isn't going to make MOOP on the playa. Just like when working with fur, that could mean anything from checking the material first and finishing the edges, or just giving it a thorough brush-out beforehand to get rid of loose and straggly bits.

Now THAT is what I'm talkin bout!!!!!!!!

There was a kid in my elementary school who's hair stayed perfectly combed all day.

I found out one morning the secret to his quaff.

His mom would dissolve 2 tsp. of sugar in a glass of water and comb his hair with that.

When it was dry, it could compete with the best hair spay ever invented.

I'm going to get a long wig and attempt the same thing making descending sizes of elaborate handlebar mustaches going down the beard.
