I'm going to the Generator tonight for Table Saw Tuesday, might stay for metal shop. I want to get "approved" on the saw, and will be able to finish some projects. Although I got sort of good with a skill saw and a straight edged board, I haven't been able to make a decent box. I phoned a query for an apartment yesterday with a single car garage, and hope I hear back today.

Best of ALL! Missed Bin last night. Great news to be on the mend, and hanging out in a bar!

Hello sweet Bar!

Haven't been here a while - super high fever left me feeling like I had a 4 martini lunch for days and days. (Now that's a cheap drunk)! Also have been spending most non-work energy on working on our LA regional.

Had a very old acquaintance pass away over the weekend - she had a heart attack while driving, hit the gas and then a telephone pole at 90mph. Ugh - had her ex and her son staying with us while they made the decisions on whether to pull the plug.

Good luck with the knee Yiggy, welcome back Bin and cheers to all you lovely eplayans.

Welcome back, Mojojita! So sorry to hear about feeling poorly, and condolences on the loss of your friend. I lost an old LA burner friend recently too, also due to traffic accident but it was someone different. I'm glad you were able to be there for her ex and son during that tough time. Good luck with putting together this year's bequinox, one of these years I want to try and make it down for that one.

I have a significant tear in my meniscus and the doc wants to operate. I gotta see what my copays are and such....this is something that can wait, it's just pain, not gonna do more damage in the short term.
I have other tests coming soon, the results of which could very easily dictatate how I handle the knee.

Road trip to Salem OR tomorrow, either going through Reno, up the east side (if I get up early enough), or I5 if not.

Fun with power tools tonight. I think I can now successfully rip a sheet of plywood into straight boards. Next week we are going to rout channels for shelve supports and finish a nice set of wall cubbies for the generator sewing room.

Good luck MDF. YG, I had a torn meniscus and they did arthroscopic procedure and it was not fun, but it worked. Don't do anything on your knee if it is not hurting so you can't tolerate the pain. When it gets that bad, then do something. My two drachmas worth of advice.

yeah, after good advice here and some thought, I'll probably put off the knee stuff a while. He said it's a pretty big tear, and there is arthritis under the knee cap, but I'm still maintaining my "gazelle-like" gate and speed, so, I guess I'll just wait till something breaks. It does not hurt all the time.

well off to Portland!
