"As soon as tickets are released into STEP they will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis via email notifications to registered participants."

Does this mean first-come, first-served basis based on order of registration for STEP?

Mostly I ask because the profiles site struggled a lot during the individual sale registration and my guess is that it will be similarly hosed during the STEM registration.

Agreed. I was able to buy two tickets and a vehicle pass last year in STEP. True, you didn't know if you were "next in line" or anything link that, but that also helps reduce stress. Patience is your friend while you're waiting for the email.

We only had one camp mate who was unable to get a ticket in the individual sale last year. He was one of those "made a burner profile, but forgot to register" people. I made sure he joined STEP as soon as it opened and his ticket was fulfilled be late May. All hail the great and mighty STEP program.

A couple times in the past I have been in STEP. It is a long waiting game, usually. Just waiting. With me, I wasn't notified until later in the summer. One time I managed to secure tickets thru local burners I had connected with thru eplaya here before getting and cancelling the notification to receive STEP tickets. As is kinda evident now with ticket sales, maybe do a practice run or two, clicking thru til it stops, making sure whatever needs to be registered is, and get in on the list the minute it opens.

For transport we hired a rental car so a VP is kind of necesary. From what I read, every ticket purchaser will have an option to purchase a vehicle sticker. However, I do not believe you can purchase just a vehicle sticker. Can anyone verify this?

Last year (2014) I got nothing in the Main Sale, and nothing in STEP, even though I signed up in the first seconds after noon. I spent two months replying to every scalper on Craigslist and got nothing. I finally got a ticket through the OMG sale. STEP may have worked in the past, even though it did not work for me, but I doubt there are going to be as many people who change their plans and want to give up their ticket at face value this year - or in years to come. I know many more people this year who need tickets than who got them, and I think as the years go on, and as the Leaders reserve more and more tickets for the Moneyed Parasite Class and their Customers (and their Sherpas and their titty dancers), people are just going to be out of luck, fruitlessly chasing fewer and fewer STEP tickets, or paying scalper prices.

will try step again this year , heard you wont have to go to will call to get it , but thats not confirmed yet.
