Hello from Rotterdam - The Netherlands

Post by Bert Rotterdam » Thu Feb 19, 2015 12:26 pm

Hello my name is Bert i am from Rotterdam The Netherlands. I am a little older ( 52 ) year. I've worked my butt of for 38 years. Owned a Ducati Motorcycle workshop but got serious health trouble last year. This made me think about the live i was living. ( always though to go do nice things after retirement ) Made a dramatic but right decision. Sold the shop and start writing, painting and doing things i already would do for several years. Going to BM gives me a feeling of going home. Can't explain why but thats how it feels. I hope to meet nice people to talk to and looking forward to a fantastic week for everybody who joins in at BM.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome Bert, Here on Eplaya you are practically a youngster. Together we have thousands of years of experience and love to talk about it. I'm glad you decided to retire and enjoy life. Let this year be the first of many trips to Burning Man. See you in the dust.

Thanks for the welcome Elderberry and thanks Ratty. I am not a native speaker in English but always do my best. First thing i'm gonna do is start reading as must article's as possible. We were a little in panic because we didn't got a Vehicle Pass. We are Flying from Amsterdam with a 20 kg bagage max. I've already found out about the VP sale at the STEP programm so we hope we can buy one. But if not we have an extra adventure ...................for free :D Have a great weekend.

Hi Bert,

I spent a lost week in Rotterdam that lasted most of 1998....well actually I was bouncing between there and Eindhoven....What little of that time I can remember are very good memories, mostly because the amazing people and their spirit for life.

I hoist an Oranjeboom in your honor. Now roll around in the dust and bark like a seal!

Welcome, Bert. Glad to hear you made the choice you did -- sounds like you couldn't have made a better one for yourself. :) Wishing you success with your hunt for a VP -- and a memorable celebration when it comes through!
