Hello from Down Under!

Post by dannydn » Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:33 pm

Hi everyone,

My name is Danny and yes, like many others I will be a first time burner this year (but definitely not the last I hope!).

I've traveled and attended events around the world but nothing has enticed or appealed to me more than Burning Man.

I feel I am ready to undertake the pilgrimage this year, in hopes of enlightening my life and to transcend out of my shell at what unarguably looks like the best experience on earth.

I'll be traveling with a few friends who are also first timers who all share the same sentiment as me.

After lots of research and careful consideration, we've decided that we wish to tap into our inner radical self-reliance and tackle on the burn ourselves, so will pitch up our own camp area as opposed to joining one - fingers crossed!

Looking forward to meeting new friends later this year! :D

Hi dannydn! I'm a Sydneysider too and I'm heading back for my third burn this year. If you guys are looking to DIY and make this an annual affair consider getting a storage space in Reno so you don't have to worry about taking everything home or chucking it out after the burn.

Welcome to ePlaya!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome Danny,

I'm attending from Sydney with a good mate

We're undecided on the theme camp thing but I suspect we'll also go it alone.

Cheers,
Peter

Hi hi hi!
My partner and I are also traveling from the land down under this year! This will also be our first time. We would love to get to know some fellow Aussie burners, we are from Perth :D

Dannydn, Welcome to eplaya. We're #1. That is, we're the first stop before shopping, packing and traveling.
