Hey bar! got a job today, nothing to crow about. I need to start walking and lifting and working some stairs into the next couple weeks so I don't die on my first day. Yeah, that sort of job. eh. Chop wood carry water.

Learned how to use a router last night at the Generator, and keeping my eyes on why I want to live here in the first place, and it ain't for a career (not now anyway)

Now, more apartment hunting. The universe unfolds sometimes like soiled linen, but always as it should. rah. rah.

Trains have always fascinated me for years. In my "baby book" my mother wrote that trains were one thing that I showed interest in and here almost 56 years later, I still don't mind waiting for a train.

I set the granite counter top in the new kitchen today. seemed no matter what I did, some measurement was off......
start back tracking.......ah, of course!! the guy set the cabinet sections out of line (crooked).
Silly me to think I could measure off a cabinet and just believe it's straight!
Luckily, I was able to rip and thickness plane, a piece of oak and use it as and edging, and bend and glue/pin it in place, so it all looks pretty good and straight. but jeeze! "oh, I can make cabinets".......well yeah.......

Boy howdy do I need a drink. I've been up for what seems like days. Hey, did anybody have a booth around the Souk last year? If so do you plan to have another one around the man this year on the Mid-way? I didn't spend much time there but the carnival midway appeals to me more than the souk. I think I'll pick pockets. You can't get more carnival than that.
