I've been spending far too much time looking for a tent that's tough, roomy, *likely* able to handle the winds, and capable of being set up by one person without taking flight. I think I've looked at approximately 427 tents online.

It's already easy enough to procrastinate , but I think I've hit the jackpot in hunting for tents...

Aside from the great tent search, I've been adding to my list of things to get/do. Pretty soon I'm going to need a list to manage this list.

That's BM for ya: list management.
There is a reverse correlation between list management vs number of times attended IMO. I started out with about half a dozen lists that I worked on from February my first year. But anymore I make up one list at the beginning of August.
There is always something you'll forget. The best you can hope for is that it's something you can either live without or something you can get via playa magnanimity.
Now that I'm clued into condition alpha, I figure I may as well put that shit too on the list.
Although the DPW first aid kit is pretty easy: needle nose pliers, sewing needle, duct tape, super glue, Bacardi 151.

Printer/laptop set up. One print run done. Several sheet and ink fails.
Printer may or may not survive one more year's worth of production.
Cutter needs new surface protection, will see about glass.
11 buttons , incl one "BURNIER THAN THOU", completed.

Took the MV for it's inaugural test drive. Made it back home too....right before I found out the gas gauge is wildly inaccurate and I ran out of gas rolling into the garage. Add that to the list.

I just ordered another bullhorn. My microphone was getting goofy last year and although it works ok now, I just don't want to take any chances. It was $26. Big deal.

With all that's missing I'm surprised you left the fuel gauge on. Very interested to see what it turns into.

I got...A big rainfly from a coleman tent, yet another camelback, a teenie tiny plastic cutting board, a wonderful black plastic shower water warmer and the best thing of all...a toilet seat that fits a 5 gallon bucket. Not too bad for $15.

Now what can I get rid of to make room?

Snap on toilet seats are the best!
I just finished another 35 buttons, have about 30 more and I'm done w that project. Stopping cause my elbow hurts to continue.

Search for Reliant Luggable Loo. It's a snap on plastic toilet seat that fits onto a 5 gallon bucket.
You don't have to worry about the Porto seats coming off. They'll do it on their own. Consider: 2 bolts into old plastic, lots of torque and stoner butt traffic.

We have one of those--bring it to the playa every year after a bad experience of not being able to make it to the portos in time.

I'm ok with that. I love mine too! I used one for years. It was just this year that I discovered the joys of living in LOS of the doors, so I have a wide variety of potties to chose from. And I enjoy the sound of doors slamming all night-it's the sound of life.
Ok I'm weird.
In othe news: I realized today I have three more buttons to make: stop the horror, Pottie friend , and hoverers, don't do it wrong.
Gah! That's like 60 more buttons to make. This shit just is going on and on.

It's the little things....Today I found a tiny journal. It's barely 3" by 4". Carrying a book is necessary for me because I'm forgetful out there. Camp addresses, events, names to go with pictures I've taken, things I absolutely need next year etc...I have several others to gift but this one is so small I love it. Oh, and three beautiful bras to make into tops.

In July I'm going to have to throw one hell of a yard sale. 6 months to go and no place to put this stuff.

Uh, is the 151 for the manufacturer's intended purpose, or something else? Just thinking of the lighting guys in my college theater, who kept "lighting solvent" in their toolkit (to keep the lighting operators clean?).
