Hi, The official answer seems to be as soon as they have received enough applications, and that there is no way to predict when the program will close. However, I would like to know if anyone has experience submitting a delayed application and if it still got a ticket award? How long did you take to submit your low income ticket application?
I am wondering because I just started a new job in which I have not received a single pay stub/check yet. I would like to jump on the application ASAP but I have no way to yet verify my income. I could opt to provide proof of expenses without proof of income (which I know is acceptable) but it may be best to wait three days until I have a pay stub to apply.
Apply fast or wait 3 days for my proof? Do I run the risk of the program closing by waiting?
No BM official will give me any form of estimate on this, so burner experiences are the next best thing!

Re: How long until low-income tickets applications are close
I have never applied for a low-income ticket, even though there was a year or two I might have qualified. So my advice is purely observational.
I would wait three days for proof of income. This doesn't mean you can't start on the application and essay and make it as awesome and complete as it can be. In fact - use the three days to do just that.
I seem to remember the low-income program closing, but not for a bit. Granted - demand is increasing every year.
I would rather have all the info I can supply than to try to rush it and leave out something as important as income. But again, my advice is observational. Have you searched the board for back posts about the low-income program? That may prove helpful.
Best of luck.

There is no way to say, it honestly is a function of how quickly they receive enough successful applications. With demand for tickets in the main sale this year hitting record levels, past years would be difficult to go by. You don't want to submit an application without documentation, but once you've got something you can use don't delay.
