Participation Forms Launch Date March 4th

Heads-up, folks! The various participation forms for the 2015 event will go live on March 4th at noon PST. At that point, you'll be able to start filling out the questionnaires and applications for your projects. The deadlines vary by project, and are listed below. You don't have to scramble to get them in the minute the forms open, but you DO need to make sure you fill it out and hit the final submit button BEFORE that deadline.

• Camp Placement Questionnaire - March 4, 2015 - April 30, 2015 at 12:00 noon Pacific Time
• Mutant Vehicle Application - March 4, 2015 - May 14, 2015 at 12:00 noon Pacific Time
• Disabled Persons Vehicle Application - March 4, 2015 - July 30, 2015 at 12:00 noon Pacific Time
• Art Installation Questionnaire - March 4, 2015 - June 11, 2015 at 12:00 noon Pacific Time
• BRC Media Application - March 4, 2015 - July 16, 2015 at 12:00 noon Pacific Time

As for getting events listed in the What, Where, When guides, the Playa Events Calendar typically opens up for new entries in mid-June. From there, the first 1500 or so entries are typically included in the printed guides distributed at the event, but all the events and listings are available in the electronic version (accessible online, as well as in the various smartphone apps made by awesome burners). Look for more details about the playa events calendar in the Jack Rabbit Speaks newsletter in early June.

Thank you for this info! I've been searching everywhere for it and you've answered so many of my questions! Mid-June is quite a ways away so I guess I don't have to frantically get my campmates to send me their event descriptions. Gracias, muchacho!

I checked the link and I'm not sure it's terribly specific to this year, but the What/When/Where submissions are usually for about 3 weeks in June, to my memory, because placement is usually announced right afterwards, and this can present its own set of challenges.

As mentioned here, the playa events calendar opens up in mid-June. It will stay open all the way to the start of the event, but it will only take a couple days for them to get enough to fill the printed guide.

It did close *at some point* before the event last year. I'm not sure when but I definitely went to add something and found it closed last year.

Perhaps they close the web site for entry after the last data dump (last batch of data is sent to the app developers, and the database is physically moved to the playa).
