in the last two weeks one person in every department was fired. Today I was the i.t. departments sacrifice. Fucking awful job, but i've not been able to find another around here that pays anything close. We are looking at selling our home and the land ken inherited and buying something smaller that won't have a mortgage. Until then it will really suck.
So really, if anyone in Texas knows a good employee rights attorney I need one. I didn't even recognize the person they were describing on that paper. And no I didn't sign anything. I told them no, not until my attorney approves it. Let's hear it for anti-anxiety pills.

We had a fucking riot at work last night. It was slow for a Saturday night at the casino. The bar and wait staff decided to answer every comment with, "That makes me wet". After a while they didn't have to say it. They just burst out laughing uncontrollably. We were not acting our age.

I'd just moved all but my most immediate, important stuff back down to a Denver storage facility, in anticipation of getting a place down there. Now all my shit is down there (I'm 20+ miles away living with friends temporarily), I have storage fees to pay, and no income.
Here's where the concept of a "loving God with a master plan" can kiss my white ass. And I'm not terribly smitten with the non-theistic universe at the moment, either.
I'm too old for this struggle.
