IT's very sweet of you to think so well of me. Thank you. However, I was simply being honest.

I've been meaning to post the scarf I made last year out at The Man.
I added a stencil that another camp was providing.
Thanks TK!

They make great snowballs too. Can you imagine riding your bike down the street and getting pegged with a snowball?

Re: Dye with Dignity
One of those art party places opened here in my little town. You know, come in and everyone paints this picture, drinks wine etc. except this one has a silk dye night. They use the same dyes as my camp, you get a much smaller scarf than the ones we use, AND you have to bring your own wine. They charge $150.00 a person. A PERSON.
Hell, we even bring the wine for you lol
We are a much better deal.

So I am looking at your indiegogo page and I don't see the donation spot for a Dye with Dignity cuddle puddle party. Is there a secret code that I need for that?

That's what you have to do for me after dye day. I'm so exhausted by the end of that day I could use some major cuddle therapy

Re: Dye with Dignity
well, good news bad news.
Good news is we will be there this year. we have the money hidden from ourselves for the trip so we aren't tempted to spend it on, oh say food. so we can go. Now if the fundraiser raises the goal (or dear god exceed the goal please) we will bring it in style. because of (DUNDUNDUN)
The bad news: after not being able to make me quit by making my work environment as hostile as possible. I was fired. booted. banned. told to pack my knives and go.I am typing this on an ambian and two panic pills. not sure thats a real good combination but it makes my hands stop shaking for about 15 minutes. Then i sleep for 30 minutes. Then the whole process starts over again.
So, the vaguely bad news. This could be our last burn so LET'S BRING IT. Part of bringing it this year will be our guest YAY! (known to you as Gaminwinch) will be hosting her seminar Singing for ScardeCats at the Dye Shop on Wednesday at 11:00 I've always wanted to do this and now I will be extremely spoiled by my dear friend in my own camp! Pretty jazzed about this. slightly shaky jazz hands up!

Tamarakay!! No, no, no. This won't be your last burn. You'll get a new job, settle in and maybe skip a year. Then after you've been working a while your boss will give you the time off and you'll come back. It's practically the cycle of life. Especially after everyone hugs you this year and dyes scarves and SINGS!! Yeah for Scardecats. I've got my journal here by the computer and it's filling up with people, places and things to do. I'll put you down for 2017 also.

No it won't. You'll probably go again.tamarakay wrote:

A week before the burn last year my father passed. It was hard. A month after the burn my employer told me I haven't been performing up to expectations since mid August. When I asked what expectation I wasn't meeting or what specifically I need to improve on, all I got was "I dunno. Just do better." Great timing. So I quit. Final straw after seven+ years. Felt better but scary.
I wasn't successful in the ticket sale and wrote off the burn this year and possible future burns. And then I got a phone call from a friend I haven't spoken to for a few years. He just so happened to have two extra tickets. So I guess I'm going.
BM is tough to pull off sometimes and maybe we can't go every year but don't forget what keeps you alive. And things have a way of working out. I plan to keep going because one day it might not exist and I would've wished I tried harder.
I think this will be your best burn ever. At least until the next one.

Thank you. I'm glad you get to go.
We are exploring options including selling our land here and moving somewhere else. We have acreage and could sell, buy something for cash somewhere and start over.
However this year is going to rock!

Ok, technically I was testing last years leftover dye for vibrancy. I think they are ok.
