I've run into a surprising amount of people that think that's how it works out there. Most think they just need to pay someone to take care of their needs and also, they think it's a barter society. They think they wont need to bring water or food if they bring some trinket to trade for it.

I'm not sure where they are getting that from.

I think there will be room in JT's commodity camp for those 10.

I enjoy Star Wars and mid-century Irish history in my everyday life. I was hoping to find a camp on the playa full of people totally into Star Wars and mid-century Irish history. This way there would be no break in my life focus or chance for alternative fun and distractions. Off playa, this is what I am into, so I see no reason not to do the exact same shit on playa. If I could simply bring my all classmates, my study books, overpriced coffee, the mailman, my own music that I constantly listen to, I would. Why I don’t just stay home in that comfort zone? I have to scratch Burning Man off my bucket list. And wear costumes. I am hoping to find fellow Burners just like me. I am 5 foot 11, 200 pounds, and open minded.

To be fair, they did. Apparently this person has a friend in ticketing who enlightened him/her to the evil master plan; but the post disappeared. It seems this person leaked information about a grand scheme by the Org to release tickets from STEP to Org friends. STEP is just a coverup. Duh.

(You know, instead of just allocating x number of tickets at the beginning, the evil Org decided to create STEP as a coverup for preferential treatment to wealthy Org benefactors.)
