tentative RSVP's would be neat, so we can plan space and pork needs.

Hmmm, could bring an underwater light sculpture thingie to stick in the lake. I promise not to electrocute any minnows.

2nd week in June until Independence Day works well. Then it is Get Busy Time.

Those dates will work for me - just need the final decision as soon as you can as I'm coordinating some other visits to work around the Hof dates. Thanks, YggMeister!

I can't make it the Hof, Bin, so I hope there's some other time for me.

I know what you mean, Eric. I'm going to start celebrating my birthday on Saint Swithin's. Being between Pride and Independence leaves me with no celebratory wiggle room for party planning.

I'll be starting three day weekends at the end of this month, being off Saturday-Monday. If I could mosey on up on Saturday morning and skip out Monday?
Would you or anybody else know an approximate driving time say from Reno? I'll tack on an additional 45mins to drive from my house to Reno.

Will be flying to Oakland, spend a few days seeing Bay Area family & friends (including you), moving on to Hoff Party, then Reno and on to Klamath Falls (former home) and back to Oakland. Lots of people and places I've missed for too long. That's the plan, anyway.

I've started arrangements for time off. I'll be there. Lucky, you've been there for a 'thing' before? I have questions. All of them silly. If I'm spending 2 nights camped in my van do I bring my own water, stove, will my van make it up the hill? (Due to the road not my van's condition). Etc....Is this a costume camping party?

location, so people can google map::
driveway:
39°27'7.04"N
120°39'19.03"W

hof:
39°27'8.03"N
120°39'11.54"W

people can come for any or all days, or even more, though I may not be there for more.
All are welcome!! no rules, show when and if you can.
I have a small shooting range, if anyone is so inclined.
fishing and crawdading in the lake.
I can bring a canoe and or 2 person kayak. anyone else can, too.
Plenty of fire wood on site.
some car camping sites, some "walk 100' to your tent sites, down in "Elorrums Glen".
outhouses, 2.

Ratty: "YAY", and, I have a spring water tank there, 1500 gallons. The spring may or may not be running by then, this year, due to drought. But, there should be plenty of water.......and there is a lake.......
costumes, no dress code,so anything is ok!! (Killbuck)
your van, may or may not make it. Probably a good chance it can, though. are you a good off road driver? the last 200' is a steep hill.
some vehicles are challenged....but we can work it out. there will be stoves, so, if you want to bring one, fine, if not, it's ok.

Bin: "Yay, again", that is the date, unless a calamity comes up.

Catman: "another YAY", there are two ways from Reno, via 89/Jackson meadows reservior, or I80/hwy 20/Bowman Lake road. some Reno folks have gone both ways (not judging, it's all good), you might want to ask. I think the time is about the same.

Oscillator: "YAY, too" the underwater things might be tough to see from the Hof.......it's 300' above the lake, but only about 300 level feet, so trees obscure the near shore. One would have to go over the dam to see them from the hof.....which would work, but is about 1/4 mile I bet

MGB: Yay!!!

Eric and Fishy: DANG!! I'm so sorry, sure wish you could make it.

Is the dam accessible via small ATV & 4x8' trailer?

maybe........there is a cable gate, owned by the water company. But, we are in legal wrangling, since I own (IMHO) their rights to that gate. You'd have to decide if you want to argue with them, if they said anything about being there.

I swim at every opportunity, but I waded into that lake a couple years ago, and it was just too gosh darn cold. You are sure right about it being scenic.

Looks like this is, once again, happening on the weekend of the Kinetic Sculpture Race in Klamath Falls, but I will be with you folks in spirit.

I'm considering going 22-24, and laying booby traps, er, I mean, doing some cleaning, and prep.
