Actually it is still in remarkably good shape after several hurricanes, lots of blizzrds, etc...

It has started developing a green patina (likely moss). The squirrels chewed one section of the paracord last year and the weight of the snow this year tore it in a few places. From what I can tell the crochet work is all intact. The birds have taken some of the butts and band aids for nesting material as well. I can probably just patch it up with a couple zip ties.

If I get my camera working I'll post some current photos.

Dolly is an immense, 3-m-tall light-up doll made entirely from crochet. She is out of her normal context and out of scale, creating an unusual addition to the urban landscape around Circular Quay.

Dolly was designed and handmade by local Sydney artist Tina Fox as a response to childhood memories of night-lights, bedtime dolls and soft teddies. The doll’s extra long arms and huggable body beg to be embraced by both children and adults.

Preparations for Camp Hooker are moving ahead and on Tuesday I'll be getting either a helper or a major distraction.

In addition to the cougar, and small yarn bombed additions, the crochet hut will be a monkey hut covered in 200 SF of yarn. Only 40 SF to go.

We will be serving our custom, barrel oaked spiced rum as well:

Holy smokes that Monkey Hut is the coolest thing.

Totally pink glow! aww makes me think of my Nan. She used to crochet those big squares and turn them into blankets for us kids.
