Howdy, all the peoples!!

Just checking in from Montreal! Arrived Saturday to (one of) my sister's, with (one of) my brothers... and this evening (Sunday), picked up another sister (fellow burner, Neata) at the airport (arriving from British Columbia). Very soon, our Delle will be joining us, and we''ll be celebrating with our Totally Awesome Mom, her 90th birthday! These 90th birthday thingies don't happen all that often in a person's life... this is a monumental occasion!

Today, spent most of the day raking and collecting leaves and yard stuff. We made good progress on quite a large yard. Felt so good to breathe cold air and smell actual moisture. Such a rare treat... hasn't been real rain in Arizona in so very long. I know tomorrow I'll really feel it in my back and shoulders, but I found it hard to stop. 24 large bags, packed full, and more to go!

Just thought I'd pop in and say HI!!
So, HI!!! dang it!
I hope everyone is having wonderful times. I can assure you, I AM!!

Yay that you're all here!

Morning bar peeps. Lots to do. I'll take a scotch rocks. I know it's early but I can't come back for 8 or 10 hours. And then I'll be late. It all averages out.

Mornin All!

First week of 4-10s so I'm off today. Only good thing about 4-10s is three day weekends and driving to Reno four days instead of five until October.
Lots to do as well. Just took the dog Sandy to the Frisbee park. Scrounged some aluminum cans, saw about a dozen "wild horses".
Grocery shopping, the bank, the Post Office, cut the front yard. Only so much time in a day.

NYC has no honking blocks and neighborhoods, too. I think it's a good idea for the residential streets too, otherwise you'd get random jackasses honking for their friend to come downstairs at all hours (not realizing that 200 people live within range of that car horn). At least when I lived in the area it was a big problem in 'hoods that weren't no-honking, that was before everyone had cell phones...

I made a lot of progress on redesigning my camp's web site over the weekend, and now I'm in the home stretch. Hopefully I'll get 'er done in the next day or two...

I've been doing 4 tens for over a month, and I kind of like it. It's a very long day, and not much gets done in the evenings, but three days off is nice. Each "monday" (actually Thursday,) feels like coming back after vacation in a way.
So Monday is my first of three days off. My goal this weekend is to get a comfy chair for the living room, and try out the walk-up taqueria/taco truck at the end of the street.

Hello everyone!
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

HI gang! dang, sorry to have missed Mikegyver!!
HI Lucky! Hi MDF!!
cut more boards yesterday with the sawmill......learning does take time, but yay, sorta starting to understand and get the feel of it. It's sort of satisfying, having felled a standing, dead cedar, cut it to lengths and hauled it up the hill, and now making boards from it. The things it becomes will be interesting in that I'll have seen them go from a live tree, that I saw die (unknown reasons) last fall, to whatever products and items.

Barely. I've been traveling non stop. Business related. I've been living on beer, coffee and food courts. But I'll be in London Friday with Grai, so it's all good.

Hey all. My caregiver got back from the Bahamas. She traveled with her girlfriend. Tales of woe ensued. Fees, taxes, charges, cost of drinks and extras.. For her, it was no carnival. I got a coffee cup with palm trees on it. She filled her camera with images of sun, sand, and green waters. She got her red hair corn rolled and beaded like Bo in "10". I think she got her groove back!

The old black walnut tree in the back yard finally fell with the last stormy day. It hit the oak stump and rolled, away from Missies gravesite. It knocked the cross with her dog tags over though. The wood is very punky and full of woodpecker holes, so I just have to burn it. Not any good for lumber, but it has welcomed wildlife for decades. Cycle of life and all that. :coffee:

Darlene said I can use her pickup again, if I cannot use the old RV at BRC. She is a dear. Got my copies of letter and invitation made at the library computer kiosk. Picked up some free books also. I had to be a little more independent these past 2 weeks because Darlene was away, it was good for me. I cooked a frozen turkey and have been living on leftovers. There is a lot of meat on a turkey, my dog Hunter got all I did not want. I finished with turkey gravy on mashed potatoes today. :coffee: Ta ta.

So far it's either 10AM or 6PM sunday.
