They are still fighting it but it looks like Midburns permit has been rejected and work in the desert has stopped. Burners are asked not to arrive.

It appears that the police will now issue a permit, but with all sorts of batshit stipulations---such as surveillance cameras all over the place. No glass whatsoever can be brought into the event. The insane list goes on and on.
