Swedish furniture giant IKEA have pounced on a gap in the EDM market and are planning to roll out a new DJing table specifically designed for the constant barrage of EDM DJs leaving a loop on mid-set so they can stand on the desk and talk into the mic while dancing.

“Sometimes EDM DJs fail to get the crowd going with the music they play and so have to resort to some other tactic to win them over and let them know that they’re having a good time,” explained an IKEA source behind the table. “Some might take to the mic, do heart hands, fist pump or pose like Christ on the cross – but one surefire way to let the audience think that they’re at a legitimate event is to stand on the table and dance about for a minute like you’re a rock star.”

I was happy to read that at the Further Sellout there was some DJ who continued to play electronic noises with intensity even though the dance floor was not full !!!
Almost like a real musician would do performing for one or two fans. I learned that in the EDM world this is seen as a news worthy virtue.
Also that the acts on one stage hinted at a future where there might be actual humans involved with making the sounds, leading to a

progressive aesthetic that could develop in future years as dance music's trend towards live elements continues to grow.

Funny how all the speakers leaned toward money making CEOs, as if there is no one else available who knows about health, history, arts, etc. other than some tech dude.
But of course, as with all things Robot Heart, I am curious on how the bike thefts went.
