I needed to style some faux fur on a mohawk hat I made and discovered that the same hair gel paste I use on my own hair works quite well on monster fur - plus you can always wash it out and restyle it. Not sure how well it would work on yarn though.

calm down, Jovankat....it was a joke!

that costume is not easily replicated on playa because of the mess the moss makes when it is brittle and breaks apart. HIGH MOOP FACTOR. if i still had that beard I made, the moss would be dead. but once it gets flattened, you can't "fluff" it up, so it wouldn't look as good.

but it WAS a fine looking beard, if I do say so myself!

Ok. I finally ran across something that inspired a beard for me. Bendable foam hair curlers. Lightweight and stunning.

There was a full length, backless, gold sparkly number, but it was just way to small.
