There's no way that it could beat the Golden Calf piece from 1995.

Someone found a completely dessicated calf that had slipped and fallen into one of the pools up around the double hot springs closer to the actual Black Rock. They took the carcass back to camp and paraded it around like some found sacred idol complete with the pall bearers wearing hooded cloaks and chanting a funeral dirge. All they needed to do to take it over the top would have been to spray paint the thing with gold paint.

She hasn't been yet, and most people associate "desert" with "sand". Even the words we commonly use don't really give any details on texture (like "playa" or "dust" - hell, playa literally translates to "beach" so sand would be an appropriate thought). I mean, I camped with Piss Clear my first year, and came overly knowledgeable (yet knowing nothing) and pre-jaded, but I still didn't "get" what the dust was until I experienced it.
