Pro tip: the way to get a spammer is to report a post or message, and then if/when you reference it in public posts, don't mention the username/business name or the kind of product they're selling. When you do mention that stuff, it only helps them out (because public posts tying a name to search terms only helps improve their rankings on search engines).

We've zapped the bonehead's account and nuked any remaining messages they may have been trying to send from space.

Anyhow... Happy Monday! Had a great weekend, spent Saturday with friends/campmates. It started off as brunch at a fun little spot, and upon discovery of bottomless mimosas we just kept that going for a few more hours, then stumbled across town to another great little spot, then saw Fury Road again, and a couple more spots before eventually making our way home. Ridiculousness and debauchery for the win!

I've been on every highway pass across the Sierra Nevada from Tehachapi Pass to Beckwourth Pass, except for Sonora Pass, so I'll probably go that route down and 88 back. There's a good diner in Bridgeport we'll stop for breakfast at. I'll do a little back tracking to get there but it's a small vacation of sorts. Just gotta be in Fresno by 7:00pm, game time. I checked my Motor Carrier Atlas 2004 edition and 108 isn't recommended as a truck route so figured it'd be a slow hairpin county/switchback city type drive in areas. Be taking a rental car.

Hooray for the skin doctor check up!

Long day of technical mojingo, working on 3d models and textures, as well as more of the prep work on the last 4 art posters we're working on. That one's been dragging out a lot longer than I wanted, but my gf and I both got sidetracked by other projects and didn't get a chance to spend much time working directly on any of the pieces. She's been at work later in the day these last few weeks, but we're going to try and carve out a little time each day to tinker, since it's time to get 'er done and move on to all the next things.

In the meantime, it's time for drinks and working on dinner. Enchilada night!

Catman, may I ask... what is the nature of this annual checkup? Do they inspect every square millimeter of you, or is it a chemical test of some sort? I'm thinking that I would like an annual check (if Medicare will pay for it) since I have lost friends to skin cancer.

(Then again, I recently lost a friend who had always covered up like a mummy, and then suddenly dropped dead of leukemia instead. We just never know....)

In other Bar gossip.... My camp's Plaza placement is now practically certain, so I am getting ready to panic. We will "need" some serious decor -- carnival-striped canvas, signage etc.

Congrats, Elliot. Which plaza??? Hi YG, hope you're doing well. Beautiful sunny morning here in the Bay Area. Probably start making some playa schwag today. Tested out my new camp cot up at Black Rock Desert and it was great. Slept like a log and the tent worked as well as ever in a big rain storm. So that's all set

Less than 100 days and it is back in the dust!!!

In 2004, I had basil cell carsonoma, (edit spelling) the mildest form of skin cancer removed from my left shoulder. If left untreated it could still be deadly.
It's a visual inspection, even my scalp. Not painful. I'd recommend it but talk to your doctor first. My doctor told me of a person who died of skin cancer that was never found until the person died. They had it in the "taint" area between their legs.
