Good morning everyone! Thought I would come back and say hi. It's been a while. I finally had my surgery :) I guess I should let the cat out of the bag as a few people have emailed me and asked what was going on. No I wasn't sick, yes everything is ok lol. I had gastric bypass done about 3 weeks ago :) I'm doing so fucking awesome in recovery and aooooo glad I had it down. I'm down 52 pounds as of today total. Hoping I can swing 2016 as I will be in great shape. So yes, those who have wanted to know Im still alive and well! :) :coffee:

Thanks guys! I have wanted it for years and my job has pretty great insurance so I was finally able to have it done. Also was able to get braces to. So I'm upgrading my self lol. Had a very easy recovery and almost next to know scaring as of right now :) 13 more pounds I will be past my lowest weight I can remember. *squee!!!*

Only thing Sadening is I had to say goodbye to all sugars unless they are dairy sugar, breads, pastas, and booze. (I can have booze in a year or so)

Wow. We just had rain. Real rain, for ten or 15 minutes. In mid-June!
In other news.... Blood pressure now back to normal at 122 / 78. Life just keeps getting better.

Yesterday I filled out the forms for working Perimeter again. All online, of course. At the end of the process, it required me to sign my name. Took me a looooooong time to figure out that this could be done with the computer mouse. So I took out my wallet and checked my Luddite membership card. Yep, still valid. :lol:

Lions Club meeting yesterday. A 43 year old member asked a 76 year old member to send some information by e-mail. The whole club laughed. Ol' Jim wouldn't know an e-mail if he slipped on the envelope. Yet he is one of the most successful businessmen in the county.

So... I got up early to get some stuff done in the yard, and the ground is too muddy. That's why I'm babbling in the Bar this morning. :D

I've been busy taking care of various things, mostly good, on the home front. Looking forward to getting into full bore playa prep soon.

Meanwhile, it sure is nice seeing familiar faces dropping in for a drink or two from time to time, as well as reading about the day to day adventures of the bar stalwarts. Haha! It gives my day a lift even if I've ducked into the NEB for a bit of a snooze.

How do you prepare yours?

I rub it with bacon grease, wrap it in foil, then roast for 10 minutes, turn over, 10 more minutes, it's done!

No need for butter, salt, or pepper.
